Sophisticated urban oasis with sweeping views in SoMa's Museum Row

Formerly known as the Argent, the Westin San Francisco Market Street has been rebranded over the course of the last decade. The result: a sophisticated, urban oasis in the middle of what locals call Museum row, a stretch that includes the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Both the lobby and guest rooms are sleek and modern; art in public areas is from Roy Lichtenstein and other iconic artists. Ducca, the on-site restaurant, serves contemporary Northern Italian food and has a lively bar scene on weekends.

Highlights
  • Impressive array of public art by artists such as David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein
  • Within walking distance of Moscone Convention Center
  • Cocktails and Italian cuisine at Ducca, the on-site restaurant
  • Complimentary guided walking tours
Rooms

Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access are available in all rooms (fees apply). Pets welcome (fees apply).

Features

The hotel has received numerous awards, including the AAA Four-Diamond Award.

Grab a bite at Ducca, which specializes in Northern Italian cuisine and has a boisterous bar scene on weekend nights.

Amazing trip

The moment we arrived we knew we would have a great stay. Fruit infused water was available as soon as we walked in and there were no lines to check in. The gentleman who checked us in offered us a late check out and was very pleasant. Great location and a clean room.

A Wonderful Westin Weekend

I love the Westin. This is my third stay here and I always love the view and the closeness to Chinatown and museums. This time I brought my nephew for his 5th birthday and the hotel when they heard it was his birthday sent a delicious slice of chocolate cake and ice cold milk to celebrate this special event. The concierge service was topnotch and they were always so helpful and friendly, When I come to San Francisco, The Westin is always my first choice. Thank you Westin, I shall return.

Consistently Great!

After canceling my stay at the Sheraton Fishermans Wharf due to their inability to accommodate patrons, the Westin was night and day. I prefer staying at this hotel whenever I'm in SF due to the terribly comfortable beds and the stellar location. The only downside are the parking rates, and I'm waiting for the day Starwood gets with the program and offers free wi-fi, especially when you're paying $200+ a night. Like allowing wi-fi in all rooms costs much of anything?

Walk two blocks down the street and take a left, there is a great restaurant. Drawing a blank on the name. It's next to Peets Coffee.

Always stay here

This is our favorite City hotel for a number of reasons: great location (walking distance to best shopping), cheaper parking across street, comfortable rooms and very comfortable beds.

Good location, good hotel, nice stay

The large windows with great views were the highlight of the hotel. All in all, it's a good hotel, not a great one but a good one and nothing really to complain about but at the same time nothing too much to blow you away. Convenient location for downtown SF without being in the horrible theater area and it's dodgy clientele. Would stay there again
