Sophisticated urban oasis with sweeping views in SoMa's Museum Row

Formerly known as the Argent, the Westin San Francisco Market Street has been rebranded over the course of the last decade. The result: a sophisticated, urban oasis in the middle of what locals call Museum row, a stretch that includes the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Both the lobby and guest rooms are sleek and modern; art in public areas is from Roy Lichtenstein and other iconic artists. Ducca, the on-site restaurant, serves contemporary Northern Italian food and has a lively bar scene on weekends.

Highlights
  • Impressive array of public art by artists such as David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein
  • Within walking distance of Moscone Convention Center
  • Cocktails and Italian cuisine at Ducca, the on-site restaurant
  • Complimentary guided walking tours
Rooms

JL's Trip to SF

The hotel was very elegant, clean, the staff was very polite and helpful. Location was supereb with fine dining and great shopping. China Town and little Italy within walking distance. If you like italian food you must try the Monalisa restrant. I would recommmend not to rent a car if you're going to stay in the city. Parking is $50.00 a night! Wow! Cabs is the way to go! We arrived at about 3:00am to the hotel and no one was available to help us with our loggage. Checked in and their card key system was down and had to wait until morning to get our key to the room. The clark had Security open our door. But overall an excellent place! I would recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay there again. J.L.

The Westin S.F. Market Street

The hotel is centrally located in near the financial district. Plenty of access to major highways. Minutes away from Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was attentive and very plesant. The room was clean (as promised) and the views of the city were breathtaking. I will book at this hotel again!

Summer Trip

Hotel was very clean & in very good location. The only bad experience we had was they did not have our reservaion when we arrived. They finally fould our reservation, which was suppose to be on floors 27 - 33. They tried to put us on the 4th floor, I explained that I paid for a room with a view, ended up on the 22nd floor.

AT&T Proximate

A quick stay to take in a baseball game at AT&T Park. Walking distance to the park and to museums and shopping at Union Square as well. Very nice rooms with floor to ceiling windows and nice views from our 22nd floor location. Workout facility is nice. Not wild about a charge for internet access. The Heavenly Beds are just that.

Great hotel for a conference at Moscone

We stayed here while we were at a conference at Moscone West. It was great to be just two blocks away. The hotel was excellent, with very comfortable beds, and everything we needed. My only complaint was the high prices on Wi-Fi and snacks.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Wi-Fi was very expensive here, at $14.95 per day, and not particularly fast either. I saved over a hundred dollars by spending $20 to enable the personal hotspot on my iPhone.
