Sophisticated urban oasis with sweeping views in SoMa's Museum Row
Formerly known as the Argent, the Westin San Francisco Market Street has been rebranded over the course of the last decade. The result: a sophisticated, urban oasis in the middle of what locals call Museum row, a stretch that includes the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Both the lobby and guest rooms are sleek and modern; art in public areas is from Roy Lichtenstein and other iconic artists. Ducca, the on-site restaurant, serves contemporary Northern Italian food and has a lively bar scene on weekends.
Highlights
- Impressive array of public art by artists such as David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein
- Within walking distance of Moscone Convention Center
- Cocktails and Italian cuisine at Ducca, the on-site restaurant
- Complimentary guided walking tours

ISES Event World Conference San Fran 09
Hotel was fine for the most part. Disappointed that there was no pool. Also disappointed in the fact that the hotel only offers room service for breafast and dinner only/ not lunch. The most aggravating part was learning my starwood points would only be applied from incidentals and not from staying there because I booked through orbitz. I think that's unfair. They're still getting paid and I'm staying at their hotel. Didn't understand that

Great hotel
Service was excellent, hotel was beautiful. The location was great. We walked to union square (great shopping) and walked to china town from our hotel. Warf is about 1 1/2 miles away. I would have walked but with 2 small kids.

So, the cost to valet is 15 dollars a night plus 40 dollar fee and we had a large vehicle (SUV) so that increased the cost to 15 dollars...a night! 70 dollars a night...yikes. Thankfully, the valet suggested that we park the car ourselves in a city structure (very close) for 25 a day. Much better deal!

Great 25 year wedding anniversary stay
If we have the opportunity to return to San Francisco, we would stay at the same hotel. Everyone was very helpful with questinos we had, especially given this was our first visit to SF and the accomodations were top notch. The hotel is centralized to many of the local attractions. Additionaly, there was close access to the various modes of transportation and we used most of them (especailly the cable car system and buses)to get around; but we also did some walking. We had a blast; it would be hard not to in this city.

nice.
I stayed at this hotel during SF Pride. The location is great. It is centrally located for Pride events, but far enough to get away from the crazy if you want to. The rooms are nice and clean. And the view was great for a room that was not an uber fancy room.

The Bart is awesome. But if you are in a big group, splitting a taxi will be cheaper than all of you taking the Bart.

The bar closed at 11:00 on a Friday! For people who are in town for theatre, that's too early
