Sophisticated urban oasis with sweeping views in SoMa's Museum Row
Formerly known as the Argent, the Westin San Francisco Market Street has been rebranded over the course of the last decade. The result: a sophisticated, urban oasis in the middle of what locals call Museum row, a stretch that includes the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Both the lobby and guest rooms are sleek and modern; art in public areas is from Roy Lichtenstein and other iconic artists. Ducca, the on-site restaurant, serves contemporary Northern Italian food and has a lively bar scene on weekends.
Highlights
- Impressive array of public art by artists such as David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein
- Within walking distance of Moscone Convention Center
- Cocktails and Italian cuisine at Ducca, the on-site restaurant
- Complimentary guided walking tours

Good location, good hotel, nice stay
The large windows with great views were the highlight of the hotel. All in all, it's a good hotel, not a great one but a good one and nothing really to complain about but at the same time nothing too much to blow you away. Convenient location for downtown SF without being in the horrible theater area and it's dodgy clientele. Would stay there again

Nice Place
Great service and staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the city from the floor to ceiling windows was amazing. The only con I would say is in regards to location...it was not walking distance to much nightlife and there were no restaurants/food after 10pm within walking distance.

We will be back
Great location, and the room was very nice (if not a bit small). Staff at valet, check-in, bar, and check-out were just wonderful. Parking fee is steep, but we still liked the overall value.

Good deal
For the price we really like the Westin. One of the best deals for a very nice hotel. Rooms are not huge, and bathrooms are small, but overall a good value.

Expected more from a Westin property
Great location. Very close to shopping and the BART. Friendly and helpful staff. Cramped bathrooms with doors that barely cleared the toilet. Hair on toiletries. Layer of dust on TV stand and light fixtures. Bad sound insulation. Comfortable beds. Robe provided. Nice toiletry line. Expected a bit more cleanliness and comfort from a Westin brand.
