Great spot

Superb locality. I had a room with a view but the trade-off was noise from the cable cars till midnight. Wasn't too loud and hey, that's San Fran! Helpful and friendly staff also assisted the experience.

Great option in SF

To sum it up: great location, great staff, beautiful hotel. Details: Located at California and Powell, next to other 5 star hotels, so location is premium. Walking distance from Union Square. Breakfast setup is basic and somewhat pricey, but you can walk to one of the diners down the street, 2-3 blocks away. I walked to the Moscone Center and meetings at SOMA; it's a 25 min walk, and coming back it's uphill (steep!), but if you like walking like I do, it's fine. My room faced Powell and was a bit noisy but the view of city was amazing. Loved it and will definitely come back!

Very comfortable at Stanford Court

The overall location, comfort features and amenities at Stanford Court are really great. It's not a far walk from Union Square and the Nob Hill location is very nice for vantage points into the city. When I arrived at the hotel my room was not ready. But the staff were very courteous and gave me a $25 voucher at their bar. Overall I would definitely recommend Stanford Court to anybody who's looking for good value and a very clean place to stay.

Well Run Nob Hill Hotel

Very warm and friendly greeting upon check -in. Moved me to a high floor when I asked for quiet. Rooms very comfortable and sensibly laid out. I was really impressed that they only charged a buck for bottled water in your rooms. I actually drank it, unlike the absurdly priced waters at other high star hotels. Lots of other little touches that made it clear they know their business. Work out room is not huge but has new and the right array of equipment. Again, very thoughtfully executed. I recommend not using their parking because of cost and simply walking two blocks north to Taylor St where the Masonic Center parking lot (open 24 hours) another are much cheaper. Will stay here again.

Great Experience! Perfect Location! Clean Hotel!

This was our 3rd time to San Fran this month, and by far our best. The hotel was really nice, in the perfect location and with an absolutely gorgeous view of the city. The staff was really friendly and gave us a room on the 8th floor overlooking the entire city. The beds were really clean and super comfortable and the entire room was well laid out and well taken care of. I also liked that they give the first bottle of water in the room for free, that was a nice touch. along with the heated towel rack in the bathroom. The only issue we ran into was parking because they only have valet, but we found a self park about 3 blocks down which was very cheap compared to how much the hotel was charging. overall I was very impressed with the hotel and would recommend others to stay here.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Park at the Sutter Stockton Garage which is cheap self parking garage. Only a few blocks down and worth the walk.

A safe choice

The hotel is surprisingly hip and has a very cool vibe but it's not overrun with club kids or real kids! All great things to say about this place. Also good to know that they have a Zipcar lot in the hotel. A couple minor downsides... -They have very minimal food choices in the hotel. No room service. You can get a decent breakfast on the go and they have dinner options but no lunch. - You are located up the hill from most places you'll want to do so the walk home can be huge. Use the cablecars! -The gym equipment is totally decent but the gym itself is pretty basic and unappealing. But all and all I would stay here again for sure. It's a safe choice if you are looking at a good price.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Take the cablecar directly to the Ferry Building for the weekend market. It's a gorgeous way to spend the day on the water and interact with a mix of tourists and locals. And if you are a theater lover, check out Z Space.
