Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the F-train but give yourself a little more time as they don't run on a very timely schedule.

4 day trip to SF

Hotel staff is very nice and accomidating, but hotel very overpriced for what you get. Room service is stiffly priced, no gift shop in the lobby to buy sundry items. I know this is SF, but bring your $$$$$. We had a issue with our room and staff handeled it professionally and upgraded our room to a suite. It is relatively easy to access the city from the hotel. Location is ~3 blocks off Market street, the main road through the financial district. Close to BART stations and ~5 blocks to the cable cars. 7 blocks in the other direction to the Ferry building.

Start early in the morning to see the tourist spots!!. We hit twisty Lombard street at 8AM on a Saturday and there was no traffic, also at Muir woods we were there by 9AM and almost had the place to ourself, it was absolutely packed three hours later. Dont eat at any restaurant on pier 39, instead, try Scomas on nearby Pier 47. Very old school, great seafood.
