The hotel staff are incredibly kind, courteous and very helpful in navigating SF. The hotel is a bit older, but still kept clean. The downside is that this hotel is in "the Tenderloin" of SF, which is a rougher part of the city.
I was looking for a decent place in the middle of town that wasn't too expensive. I found it.
My room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I would stay there again.
The neighborhood isn't going to win any prizes, but
that's life in a large city.
I didn't rent a car this time because of San Francisco's superb public transportation, but the front desk will be happy to rent you one if you change your mind.
The main complaint is that we got to the hotel and they did not have our information. I received a confirmation from your site but the Hotel had no record of it. Luckily they had room because we were on a strict schedule and had tickets to a show
that evening. It does not make me very confident in your site however.
Overall a good experience. You get what you pay for. Close to attractive parts of the city, however, the neighborhood itself felt unsafe to walk through at night. Otherwise, located close to several bus stops and quick cab rides to nicer areas of
SF. Room was clean and you get a private bathroom (which you won't get at other places for the same price).
Pretty decent location, close to all the tourist places with a short cab ride. private bathrooms which is a good addition, rooms are clean but the place as a whole smells a bit funny. You get what you pay for :)
