Great place to stay in SF

The hotel was in a great location. I have stayed here before and one of the best things was the free parking. Unfortunately that is not the case any longer, they now charge $18 per day. But that's about the only thing I can say about the Laurel Inn that would be negative. It was a great deal and a great stay. Oh-- fresh tulips in the elevator! Great touch.

Laurel Inn, San Francisco

We have two primary criteria for hotels: (1) hot water with good water pressure and (2) a firm mattress. The Laurel Inn is a terrific hotel choice: great neighborhood, quiet, decent breakfast, in-house parking, large clean attractive rooms, pleasant staff. But the mattress in our room was far too soft ... which is why I subtracted a star. Overall, excellent "value."

Perfect location

I am so glad I picked the Laurel Inn for my recent trip to San Francisco. It was located perfectly to pick up buses, an easy area to walk around to get to cafes and shops, and had the convenience of use of a gym right across the street. My room was very large. There were so many cafes and restaurants in that area and a more than adequate continental breakfast spread in the lobby from 6-10 each morning. Coffee was available 24hrs a day too (and hot cookies in the afternoon). The Inn was in the right part of town for my purposes. Check out where it is located, and if that is the right end of town for you, I highly recommend it!!! I will definitely stay there again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel does not have it's own restaurant but they do have a nightclub which seemed to be busy but not crazy or loud.

Will return for another stay.

Everything here was fine...our room was noisy from the street sounds, but it is an urban area. Next time we'll ask for another floor. There is no diningroom. The Continental Breakfast is served in a very small lobby but with the restaurant across the street that serves great, HUGE, American style breakfasts there are no complaints.
