What fun!

Our room was small but perfect for us. The room had everything we needed. It was very clean and the staff bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. We had valet service parking and had no worries about the safety of our vehicle. The value was great. This will be our new home away from home in San Francisco...we will rcommend to all.

Stay away Please!

Very, very, very small room! Stains on carpet. We refused to stay. Have yet to receive refund for our room that was promised! Bathroom smaller than a broom closet. TV did not work upon entry. Website ad is not a true representation of the room you reserve.

A bit misleading...

The lobby and common areas were really neat and the location was great. The staff was disorganized, the rooms were tiny and the bathrooms were ridiculous for two people. I would not come back to this hotel at any price due to room and bathroom sizes...NOT ACCEPTABLE.

THE HOTEL IS A SCAM!

I had called to ask for a double-room and when I got there of course they did not give me one[...]. The pictures shown are not accurate. I was not told ahead nor did [...] say it was a NON-SMOKING HOTEL.I ended up paying the Larkspur which is a DIVE hotel, $250.00 upon check-out because I smoke and I smoked in my room. [...]The hotel is Garbage. That's the Best I can say.

would not come back

beds are absolutely terrible, need replacing bad! unless you like an ultra soft lumpy bed. Room was okay, but the building is so old, you never really feel like touching anything...The worst part, the rooms are downtown and every sound, including the guy pressure washing the streets at 11;30 pm, the garbage, the scaffolding being pulled down early in the morning, someone rummaging through bottles, people talking, cars screaming by, shall I go on? Never never stay there again, rather stay in a hostel in the woods. But that's just me!

Unpleasant Experience

The hotel location is great and convenient but, our guests have some bad experience on the first day. We originally booked for a queen size room but this hotel personnel cannot find our booking when we checked in the first day. The personnel seems very inexperienced and said he is new and there was a queen size room but not set up yet. So, at the end, they put us in a VERY tiny room.tiny bed and the door was half broken. Even though they switched us to a king size room the day after ...I just thought their booking system needs some MAJOR improvement since we already paid in full in advance and cannot get the room we requested? that's just very bad!!

Larkspur Review

Room was clean, but really small. Plumbing was scary...I thought that sink and tub would overflow. Toilet would take 3-4 flushes to completely flush.

Can't judge a book by it's cover

Nice ambience as you enter the front lobby, but when you get into the room... you feel like your in a small box (5'x 5').... The building is old, piping running throughout the walls and there is no central air/heat, merely furnace for heat and a ceiling fan for air.

Bad Choice

The overall hotel was very romantic and had a nice feeling about it until you realize your rooms were tiny and the bathrooms were pathetic. There is no room service and the staff seems incapable of answering questions when asked. The rooms were tiny and had no refrigerators or any amenities that you normally see at a hotel. The price is overrated and they charge you 41 dollars a day for valet parking although most of the hotels in San Francisco do the same. I will not stay here again.
