Good value

Considering how much you pay it is a good value. Downtown location, just a couple minutes walk to union square, Powell street, market street and so on.

Cheap, clean, conveniently located

When I'm on a business trip and spending the majority of my day in conference rooms, I don't need much in the way of hotel amenities. The Super 8 was inexpensive, my room was clean, and my shower was hot. I also enjoyed the continental breakfast - juice, bagels, cereal, coffee - what more do you need?

The bad and the ugly

The front desk staff were not friendly. The TV was not working in my room. Brought this to the front desk's attention but they did not send someone to take a look at it until the second day of my stay. There is a big hole on my duvet cover. I can hear noise from the street.

All the staff were very helpful.

All the staff were very helpful. However, there was an odor that was strong the minute you walked into the hotel. I had to make a special trip to get a room freshner the entire 5 days i was there. Otherwise, the facility was great!

So bad that we left!

The hotel was so disgusting that we checked out and went to the Hilton on the next block. Very small room with a dirty bathroom.

It's ok

Me and my boyfriend walked around union square in San Francisco, which was only 2 blocks away. The hotel was in a really good location for the price. The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller but for just two people it works. It has cable and satellite and a well lit room. It was some what clean, the bathroom could have used some more cleaning but the decor was nice. I think it is reasonable for the price we paid.

Very good for what it is.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was at the Hilton at the next block over. I went to the conference for a couple days and went sightseeing a couple other days. If sightseeing and doing other things is on your agenda, you don't need something fancy. I had a single room that had a good sized bathroom. The bed was comfy and the front desk service was good. This is in an ideal location.

you get what you pay for

only one block from the hilton , but there are drunks and beggars everywhere, no safe at the hotel ,rooms small , bathroom door would not stay shut, parking is an extra $20 per 24 hours if paid for through this hotel, but that is quite cheap for the area, other car parks in the area will cost you double that. i went with family ,and this is the only hotel on our road trip where we did not feel safe to go out after dark.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

hire a bike it is the only fun thing to do in san fransisco. parking is ridiculously expensive everywhere in san fran. you have to book alcatraz tour over a week in advance, and even then it will rob you $100 each,to look around a derelict building, san fran is the worst place i have ever visited .foggy ,cold ,and full of down and outs.
