Nice business hotel

Very nice business hotel in a great location. The staff could not be more helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. For a guy that logs over 200 hotel night a year, I wish I had a hotel equal to this in all the cities I travel.

Good view

The staff was friendly, but I was not expecting the Hotel to charge their guests for parking. The fee $40/day,which is alot by the way (the garage next door to the hotel charged $30). Also after booking the room online for 4 people, I still called the hotel to request two beds, but when we got there they didnt have two beds only king, and they didnt even have a roll away bed the first night. I had to ask again the next day if they had one, they didnt even bother to ask if we still needed one. I would not stay at this Hotel again.

Perfect Location, Small Rooms

Only a block from the main union square area but the rooms are too small and the view isn't the best.

Just ok

Very small room, even for a big American city. The bathroom was extremely small. The room door had a 1 inch gap at the bottom, so noise was always a problem. No fridge, only two towels, no IPOD dock, limited dinning options, no 24 hour room service. Other than all of that, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Extra critical because of the $350+ / night price.. just rough around the edges.

Party Night in the city

This was a good home base for a night out with the ladies. When I showed up it was easy enough to get parking, although not Valet....A short walk to the front desk and very good service. Got my room, no problems...my room was nice. It was not lavish...but nice. The bed was large, the bathroom was ok... Nice flat screen t.v. Didnt get bothered while I was here, was out late, no rude people prying into my comings and goings... The are around the hotel is well lite...Overall it was a good place to come back to when partying..a little pricy..but this is SF

Ordinary hotel

Nothing out of the ordinary. Room wasn't very large. No extras (bath robes, etc.) No full length mirror or makeup mirror. Beds comfortable and room was clean. Concierge wasn't helpful and made you feel you were putting her out.

Good trip to San Fran

Good location near Union Square. Staff could have been more helpful when questions asked - particularly concierge services. Room was on smaller side, but comfortable - missing full length mirror. Long walk to piers, but beautiful area. If first visit to San Fran, suggest you look at hotels closer to piers as there is more tourist services available there. Overall a good trip.

O.K. but not 4 stars

I like to think when I get to a 4 star hotel they treat you as such. I have a real problem with being nickled and dimed. They want $50.00 per day to store your car. 1 block away it was $20.00. Then you get charged $12.95 if you want to use WFI or high speen ether net from your room. You can get 1 free hour if you drag your net book or lap top down to the lobby. Not much fun from the 19th floor. Staff behind registration desk was not very knowledgable about the area either. Not a total loss. cause rooms were very nice. beds were supper comfortable bathroom nice size and clean. Maid service quick and efficient. BUses, cable car outside your door. Great location to go anywhere in City.

Get "City Pass" worth every penny. Unlimited trolley, bus and cable car rides, many attractions included. P.S. good for nine days. I was there only four and was able to give remainder to another traveler when I left.

Great Location, Comfortable Bed

Great location for walking the city with very comfortable bed for sleeping. My room was across the hall from the elevators, and you could hear the doors open and close. The bar looks good, but the service and food are average and the happy hour is silly-- one wine and one appetizer special, but there are so many great places to eat around the city that it only matters a little. I don't know if I'd stay there next time because there are so many choices.

nice hotel, outrageous parking fees!!!

The room was clean and comfortable, good location and view. I was very disappointed to not have reasonable parking. It cost us almost $200 to park for our 3 day stay. This alone brought the rating down for me.

the blue tour bus (hop on/hop off) will give you a serious discount to steal your business from their competitor. They gave us 2 day passes for $25 each. Regular price is $40. The only downfall is that they stop running at 5:00 in the evening.
