Party Night in the city
This was a good home base for a night out with the ladies. When I showed up it was easy enough to get parking, although not Valet....A short walk to the front desk and very good service. Got my room, no problems...my room was nice. It was not lavish...but nice. The bed was large, the bathroom was ok... Nice flat screen t.v. Didnt get bothered while I was here, was out late, no rude people prying into my comings and goings... The are around the hotel is well lite...Overall it was a good place to come back to when partying..a little pricy..but this is SF

Perfect Location
I took my wife to San Fran for here first time and wanted to stay in the center of everything. This was it! We were right in the center of Union Square. In very close walking distance were all of the shops, mall, restaurants, bars, clubs...Right outside the hotel was the route for the trolley car that were took to the Wharf and around SF. The room had a nice view of the city and the bay and it was a very comfortable king bed. There is a bar in the lobby of the hotel that is only open until 11, but they are very knowledgable bar staff and can mix a drink! Overall the stay was great and we pretty much just walked or took a short cab ride anywhere we needed to go. The only downside was parking. The hotel had vallet only and it was ~$47/day, but I found parking garage one block down for $37/day.

Just ok
Very small room, even for a big American city. The bathroom was extremely small. The room door had a 1 inch gap at the bottom, so noise was always a problem. No fridge, only two towels, no IPOD dock, limited dinning options, no 24 hour room service. Other than all of that, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Extra critical because of the $350+ / night price.. just rough around the edges.

Great weekender
I went up to San Fransisco for the weekend with my sister. We flew up to SFO and took the Bart to Powell st. The hotel was just a few blocks away. The service was great and the hotel is very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is a great location. Lots of restaurants nearby, bars, clubs and plenty of shopping! Oh yeah and Starbucks is across the street!

Mariott Union Square-great location
The location was great! The staff was very nice and effecient. we were there to cheer family running in the SF Marathon. The sheets were soft but the sweat factor in the bed was way too high-(for both of us) so they may have been polyester. Except for that, the bed was comfortable.
