I like so much the Marriot hotel. The hotel is cleaned, quit, well-organized, in-door swimming pool, and strategies location. ... When I had little problem in the hotel, the customer service handled me right away, also the person who handled me very friendly and capabled. When I compared with the one (first trip) that I had before, of course the Marriot hotel is the best hotel I ever had. Thanks.

Great place and location
Roz Dec 29, 2009
we went to scope out colleges for our daughter. It was located near all the schools she wanted to see. We had a wonderful ... time and we want to return soon. so much to do in san Fran. This was our 1st trip to this city and I only wish we had stayed longer. Things are pretty expensive in city (we were prepared for this) but you can find some reasonable places to eat which we did. We did spluge a couple of nights and went to some up scale resturants and we had a great time. Hotel was in a perfect spot for this trip. Don't rent a car, you don't need one. We did and we only drove it to and from the airport to the hotel where it stayed parked the entire time we were there. Parking is not easy to find and very expensive...even hotel parking was $55. a day. yikes. We either walked, took a taxi or public transportation. Live and learn....

Why close your bar early?
Marc Russell Dec 26, 2009
I could not believe that they would close the bar early. Closing time was posted as 12 midnight. 4 family members and I ... arrived after dinner at around 11:15 and they refused to serve us saying that they were closing early. There were still 5 tables in the bar that were full with people drinking and enjoying their evening. We were not drunk or unruly, just had 1 glass of wine with dinner. My family and I were very disappointed. Also, on Wednesday we were told by the Concierge that the MOMA museum would open at 11:00 AM. What they failed to tell us was that the MOMA is closed every Wednesday. You would think the Concierge would know this information before sending you on a wild goose chase!

Best Hotel so far!!!
Firebug Dec 20, 2009
The bed is the best hotel bed my wife and I had ever slept on! Down comforter and pillow top. The staff were very helpful and ... friendly. I would most definately stay in this hotel again when visiting San Francisco. Shopping footsteps away. Did not have to use the car at all to go shopping and for $2.oo and a 30 minute ride we went to Golden Gate park. The location of the hotel is perfect.

Great location...that's about it!
Sarah Dec 15, 2009
I stayed with my Mom and Sister on a Saturday night. We wanted to get some Christmas shopping done and was successful in ... finding everything we wanted to buy and more! There were many great stores in walking distance as well as restaurants. Unfortunately, we did not sleep more than a couple of hours. We kept hearing a vibrating noise and what sounded like a very loud elevator. We called the front desk at 4am and one of the employees of the hotel came up to speak with us. He was very nice and attentive but really didn't have an answer as to what the noise was, but he said he could hear it. He went down to the lobby to see if there was another room which there was. We ended up getting a new, bigger room at about 4:30am but could still hear the noise but not as loud. They didn't give us $$ back on the room but only free breakfast, which I was expecting something more for our bad experience. Would not stay here again. Have had better experiences at hotels in the neighborhood and would've rather paid more to get something more restful. In addition parking is about $55 a night.

Fabulous stay
Cool mom Nov 10, 2009
We chose this hotel because we have kids and they had a pool which is not easy to find in SF. They put us on the 25th floor ... with beautiful views overlooking MOMA. We had 5 people in the room with our three children and it was large enough that we never felt like we were too close (except when the baby woke up at 5am with the time zone change. Lol). The crib was not great but better than a pack & play and the baby was able to sleep through every night. The pool was super nice with a huge hot tub. We were in the pool every day which was a nice break from sight seeing. The staff could not have been more helpful. The only drawback was the price of parking and it took us a while to figure out how to get in the garage with the one way streets. That said, the parking attendance were fab and gave great directions.

Sight seeing and great location for shopping. The hotel lobby was noisy though due to some convention at that time. Attendees ... to the conference were gathered in the lobby and it was hard to get trough to get to the elevator to go up to the room. There should be a place where attendees should gather together instead of the lobby.

The front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. I'd say, they were a step above the norm. You can't beat the ... location! It's convenient that it is so close to the BART. The beds were terrific! Although it is gorgeous, the hotel could've used more character. The View lounge, however, definitely makes up for what the rest lacks. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This place is in the heart of the busiest part of San Francisco. The parking was impossible, the staff was overworked and ... could have cared less about our needs. The windows and the room were dirty and the in room snacks for sale had to be over a year old. Yuck. Unfortunately for us the W was sold out and we had to stay at this dump!! It was nice. The location was central to everything very nice and easy to walk to any store or restaurant or public ... transportation. Staff was frendly. Room was nice but it could use some updating but it was clean. We were on the 15th floor and there was some noise from the outside that would go through the older windows. There was a starbucks in the hotel. The only bad part is that it would close really early.
