Great location

The hotel itself is located right in the heart of Union Square. The room and staff were great. Only down side really is if you are parking your car at the hotel there is a hefty price, about 60 dollars a night. Otherwise, great hotel!

Excellent choice for downtown SF

Check-in was fast and pleasant; checkout took only a short phone call. I had a nice room, pretty much the same as the two previous times I've been there. But this time I had a corner outside room with wonderful views. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent for museums, shopping, tourism and public transportation.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

But for heaven's sake, don't buy the expensive breakfast at the hotel. There are plenty of bagel shops and bakeries in the immediate area as well as a Mel's Drive-in where you can get as much or as little food as you want for modest prices.

Overnight in Union Square

Lovely hotel with excellent service. The staff was very friendly and he room was very clean. The hotel is located just a block or two from the heart of Union Square, so it's close enough, yet far enough away! I had another hotel planned for the rest of my stay, which was work related, and I wished I had chosen this hotel for the entire stay. This is where I'll be on my next trip to San Francisco!

San Francisco Getaway

I assumed because I booked through [...] I wouldn't receive one of the hotels better rooms. Surprisingly, I had a beautiful view of the SF Bay and the SF Bay Bridge. The room and bathroom were very spacious and they provided Bath and Body Works Shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, and lotion. The only thing missing was a shower cap. The location was perfect; it is about 200 ft off of Market St, so there is access to every form of SF public transportation and great tourist attractions. The only thing I did not like was there was no option to have your sheets changed daily. There was no card to place on your bed to request a sheet change. I had to write a note to tell the maid staff to change my sheets.Although the hotel says the windows are sound proof if does not keep all noise out however compared to other downtown hotels in SF it did a much better job. You will hear the hussle and bussle of downtown SF.

Quiet and Professional

This place was great right from check in. I got a huge corner single king bedroom, that was made perfectly clean and put in order everyday by the cleaning staff. The hotel seemed pretty quiet when I was here, but it wasn't a busy travel season here so I wasn't expecting it to be jam packed. The pool/hot tub area was really nice, with plenty of extra towels, and very clean and comfortable. The bar on the 39th floor does have some amazing views, and the corner bar down on the street also had a decent vibe to it.

Excellent location, friendly service...

The front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. I'd say, they were a step above the norm. You can't beat the location! It's convenient that it is so close to the BART. The beds were terrific! Although it is gorgeous, the hotel could've used more character. The View lounge, however, definitely makes up for what the rest lacks. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
