Great Stay!
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was amazing helped with a smile on their faces. The View hotel lives up to it's name! The drinks at the lobby bar were a bit pricey ($12 for a small glass of wine), other than that everything was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

I travel a lot for work, and this hotel had everything I could ask for and has the most helpful staff! I cannot say enough about the staff, they all seemed to genuinely care. The View restaurant on the 39th floor lives up to it's name! Always things going on in the lobby and the location was great. The drinks in the lobby bar were a bit pricey ($12 for a glass of wine) but all in all I would definitey stay here again!

Great location, if you don't mind the crowds
The staff are very friendly and efficient. The hotel location is superb and central. However it gets a very high volume of traffic and the rooms and amenities show the resulting wear and tear. The bathrooms and fixtures in particular could use an upgrade. if you don't mind the crowds this is a great pick for a downtown SFO hotel within walking distance of a number of attractions and amenities. And of course the view from the View bar and lounge is incomparable, even though it makes for a rather expensive bar bill

poky poky
At the end of a long sightseeing day, a comfy bed just sends you over the top. Here they use feather toppers on the bed, that poke through. I woke up several times to check for bed bugs. Glad it was not bed bugs but the feather bed toppers seem old. There were 3 of us traveling, and two of us had this experience, the other one sleeps like a log.

In the middle of its class
The San Francisco Marriott Marquis has all the opulence of a high-end chain hotel with none of the personal touch of a boutique hotel. No longer a member with an elite ranking, our room lacked a few of the personal touches that you come to expect as a frequent traveler, but it was still a comfortable room with a desk and sitting area. Marriott has always wasted too much room space with advertisements and sales gimmicks, and this room was no exception.
