Stayed For Business at a good price

You can't beat the price. Look around in san fran and you'll quickly find that there are 300.00 rooms, and at my company that is way over the rate they are willing to pay. This place is located close to the 101 and only a 2 minute trolly ride to union square. Its a great value. The rooms are a little small, they have tile floors, and a king size bed only leaves about 2 feet between the foot of the bed and the dresser. The people staying there and the locals can get loud, and stay loud till 2am but its a CIty. I have stayed here twice in a row because the price is cheap, its clean enough, they have parking for about 11 bucks a day (dirt cheap in SF) and its close enough to go out and party after you have finished with your work for the day.

Never, Never, Never Again!

[...] they didnt even have me registered. The place was booked solid so they gave me the handicap room that had a non working tv. When I pointed that out to desk clerk, he told me the maintenance guys had already left for the day, how convenient. But he would leave a note so it could be looked at in the morning, yeah, when I check out. Place is a dump [...]

The room was good, comfortable

The room was good, comfortable and cheap. The problem with this hotel is what goes on outside your room. The location is convenient but at the same time its in a less desirable part of Market St. Consequently the hotel seems to attract dodgey characters who seem to hang around in the car park. There is security but they obviously dont do a good job. I was woken by very frightening screaming at 5am one night, a crank phone call on another and someone trying to break my door down on another. I would go so far as to say that you stay here AYOR (at your own risk).

A Surprisingly Good Deal . . .

The room contained a double bed in a renovated section of the Travelodge hotel. For the price, the room was spacious with a well-appointed, exceedingly clean bathroom. An exceptional deal for those who are traveling on a budget. The location is central to downtown, the Mission and the Castro. All in all, I'd recommend this property to anyone wishing to conserve funds in San Francisco. My only qualms involved the management's practice of xeroxing a credit card and holding onto the credit card number for 30 days. Ostensibly, this is to ensure that there is no damage to the room. But as I explained to the manager, he could ascertain if there is damage to a room the afternoon of a guest's departure. There simply is no sensible reason to hold onto a guest's financial information for 30 days.

The lodging is more than suitable, but guests should be vigilant regarding storage of their credit card information.

UNWANTED GUEST!!DOOR LEFT OPEN!!

I was visiting from Oahu,Hawaii. The room itself was ok. the pictures make it look better. they have a floor heater that somewhat works in the freezing cold weather of sf at night. The maids left the door open to my room and when i came in at 11pm there was an unwanted guest in my room. I asked how the H*** did you get in here? and he said the door was open and he thought my family left it open for him.he came in at 10pm.which means when i left at noon the maids left the door open when they left. I didnt call the police because i didnt want to get the unwanted guest in trouble. I went down to the desk and told them my room was open and unlocked when i came back and they told me it couldnt have been because the maid supervisor double checks. I wasnt asking for a refund just an admission of guilt. They Door was left open. Who lies about that!! My family could of been victimized if it was a stanger that walked in and waited for us. Funny thing was before i went in, I made a statement that i will go in first to check to make sure theres no serial killers or wierdos in the room and to my surprise there WAS someone in my room! DONT STAY HERE!!and they would not issue me 2 keys. they said their machine and system can only issue 1 key at a time.
