Great location, beautifully renovated

Excellent location, right next to two cable car lines. This can be a disadvantage, though if your room is not not high up, you can hear the cable car early in the morning (they start at 6:00 a.m.)...no need for a wake up call! Beautiful area but be ready to climb steep hills. The hotel is beautiful, nice music playing on the background all the time in common areas. The one thing we did not like was that upon arrival and check in, they told us that they were going to withhold $100 per night from our credit card for "incidentals". We had no idea about this, it should be part of the hotel information. This would be horrible for travelers on a budget.

I loved being back at the Stanford Court

I missed the Fournous Ovens! We thought the location was great and the rooms were comfortable. I think $14.95 per day for unlimited internet in the rooms was excessive and we therefore, lived without it. We were a bit disappointed with the breakfast service in the lobby area although the food was good. For an $85 breakfast for four (which included one 10 year old) - I would have expected better service. All other service was good!

Great location

Good hotel location close to popular attractions and helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean but can be noisy as we stayed on the second floor. Traffic can be busy and with the cable cars running below, luckily one of the cable car lines was closed for works.

Very nice, maybe too nice??

The hotel was very nice, clean, mostly quiet, a nice room price, excellent location etc... but I wouldn't plan on spending anything there other than for lodging. Their other prices were absolutely ridiculous. over $45 for juice and cold cereal for 2 is just a rip off!! I would stay away from all food and "extra's". We got charged $25 for "opening" the fridge, as a restocking charge, even though we didnt take anything. They credited it back easily, but still!! The fitness center was awesome!!
