Very nice, maybe too nice??
The hotel was very nice, clean, mostly quiet, a nice room price, excellent location etc... but I wouldn't plan on spending anything there other than for lodging. Their other prices were absolutely ridiculous. over $45 for juice and cold cereal for 2 is just a rip off!! I would stay away from all food and "extra's". We got charged $25 for "opening" the fridge, as a restocking charge, even though we didnt take anything. They credited it back easily, but still!! The fitness center was awesome!!

Great location
Good hotel location close to popular attractions and helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean but can be noisy as we stayed on the second floor. Traffic can be busy and with the cable cars running below, luckily one of the cable car lines was closed for works.

April 2011 stay @ Renaissance
The hotel was great (staff, food, cleanliness of rooms, etc.) and the location is excellent. Walking distance to all the great sites, food, shopping and public transportation. There is free Internet in the common area but you have to pay for it in your room. The hotel also offers a complementary town car if you're traveling within 3 miles of the hotel. One caveat is that the hotel request that you reserve the room with an actual credit card vs. a debit card because the debit cards will get charged $100/day for incidentals. (movies, long distance calls, etc.) However the CC will simply be held on the account and not charged.

Nice hotel, pricey parking
I stayed at this hotel for two nights. My first disappointment is I called a couple days earlier to ensure I get an two beds for the room, since when I booked online it didn't let me choose. Front desk said they will note my request but no guarantee. When I show up for check-in they have no double beds for us. The room was very nice, but small. Also, parking is ridiculous! I rented a car and wanted to do self park, but all they have is valet parking and it's $63 a night!! We decided to park on the street about two blocks away and it was free at night. I never heard of valet parking that expensive. The hotel is in close walking distance to chinatown and the trolley line. Good location, just expensive valet.

Nice hotel, but parking fees outrageous!
Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms were very nice. But we drove in from LA in a rental and nobody told us about the ridiculous fees to park. $52 a night!! For 3 nights this added significantly to the price of our stay. There should be something in the literature on this or on your web site.
