Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco - Union Square

great location, a block from cable car line, streetcars, and BART station. have stayed here several times over the years. arrived in town early, and though they said my reserved room was not ready, allowed the option to take similar room or check my bags. was tired, so took the room. it was fine, one of the few with a balcony. weather was perfect, and it was st. patricks day weekend...parade down street by hotel. only complaint was the mattress was too hard, pillows too squishy and bigger pillows too firm for me. i'll stay here again, as it's walking distance to giants stadium.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel because of several reasons: Front desk and bell desk were attentive and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better welcoming from them. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was great. Could improve further with a fridge in the room but overall, an excellent stay and I'll come back again

A "King View" room meant more than a room with no free internet access (free only if you come down to the lobby was the answer when asked) and no mini bar. Unusual for me. The location was great. The view? prince if not a king.

Location was great for me, but everything else was average. Booking price was cheaper than nearby Hilton, but it seemed like other costs were expensive. Exercise room needed work, but looks like it is planned to open new one soon.

The beds were worn out in the center. We asked for a new room and they switched us, however, they also added $40.00 for it as well. When we checked in our room was not ready, they said they would call us as soon as it was ready and took down our cell phones. They never called, we asked for a manager at 7pm and he stated they had been ready for hours, never again

Bed was mot comfortable. Food is very expensive. Service was good though.

The location to transportation was good. There were a lot of homeless people near begging. The noise level was loud during the evening hours. There were dishes/glassware that stayed in the hallway three days before room service, house keeping, or anyone from the hotel picked up. I had a little issue with my room upon arrival and house keeping came quickly and fixed it. If I ever visit San Fran again this hotel will not be my first choice.

Great location and helpful staff. Need internet access -free or easier, fridge would be nice. Very comfortable bed/pillows.

No doubt the location of this hotel is great EXCEPT there was no swimming pool which I expect to have a 4-star hotel to have and the climate control in the room was terrible. We had to have the temp. at around 55 degrees F so we would feel comfortable. Also the bed linens, specifically the comforter, made us feel stuffy.

This is by no means a "luxury" hotel as it seems to be billed as. Hotel lobby and other public areas have been updated, but the rooms remain dingy and old. Bathroom is dark, dirty-looking and our shower barely worked. The best thing about this hotel was its location, right on the corner of Cyril Magnin, Powell and Market. The Powell Bart stop is right across the street, the Market Street buses & street cars are 3/4 blk away and you're right around the corner from the beginning of the cable cars. There was also a great little place right at the corner for coffee/bagels/juice in the morning. There's plenty of street people begging all over this area at all hours of the night, which became a nuisance as they're pretty relentless.Contact with the hotel staff was virtually non-existent, not even a "good morning" from the lobby staff or doorman. Additionally, internet was $12.95 per day and the connection speed was awful. Parking was $50 a day... The hotel "accidentally" added on 2 bottles of water to our room bill (glad I checked) when we hadn't consumed any. They removed it when I brought it to their attention, but it was a 30 min wait in line to be able to do that.Additionally, this is my 3rd time staying in the Union Sq area and my last time, as you just don't feel safe walking around at night here. For future, I will opt to stay outside of SF and just Bart it in for the day... cheaper for sure and I would def feel safer at night.Overall, the Parc 55's rooms were old, dingy, looked dirty, needs updating and is very noisy at night. The beds were ok, the TV was great, hotel staff service - virtually non-existent. Glad I got this room on [...] as it would have been criminal to have paid full price for it. I will never stay here again.
