Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco - Union Square

We stayed in San Fran for our honeymoon, and LOVED it. The city itself is lovely, but coming "home" to the hotel each night was a blast. It was comfortable, hospitable, perfectly spotless, and in a easily accessible part of town. Did I get what I payed for? Yes. Quite a premium... BUT! Was it worth it? Yes. Enjoy your stay.

Stayed overnight and enjoyed it very much, a two min walk to the square, or cable cars. Quick can ride to the fishermans warf, had a nice deal with a great room up high with a great view of the bay.

We stayed on the 6th floor and i was up all night with bottles being smashed outside, sirens and car noise. This hotel only works if you are high enough up not to hear all the stuff at ground level.

It is very comfortable and quiet and very convenient to the city center and transprtation. We had a corner room with great views looking west and north. The staff was very friendly. Our only complaint is that there was no refrigerator in our room and the free coffee was not very good. There was no breakfast included. We went out every day to buy breakfast.

I hate to knock the staff on a couple of people, as most were great, and I am not 100% sure it was fully hotel staff. 2 staff members I had issues with: The first was a waiter who ignored my needs for most of the meal. The other was a kid that worked the shop, negative attitude, The chair in the room was not very comfortable, but the beds were nice, I spent what time in my room I was awake working at the desk though, so a more comfortable work chair would have been nice. To be honest I doubt I would ever vote a hotel as a good value. They mark everything up double or more charging 1.50 for a can of soda.

Love the staff and location, but I don't like having to pay $50 a day for parking NOT including tax and you have to pay for internet.

I figured for the price we were paying, this place would be amazing. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, either. I was told it was a pretty good deal for the area, and I think that is what you are paying for with a place like this - location, location, location.

We needed a one night's rest before carrying on and uncovered a great price. Everyone at the the hotel that we dealt with (checking in, concierge, bell men) were extremely helpful. Room was clean and quiet (request a quiet room at the desk when you arrive). My only disappointment was with inadequate ventilation - no fan in bathroom and no option for fresh air to circulate. A plant in the room would have helped. Otherwise a great stay and would gladly stay again.

It was like any other room in a hotel that I've stayed at before. Nothing special. The one thing that was very disappointing to me is that it costs $49.00 flat rate per day to park your car there after they're charging for the room. Seems a little too excessive to me. I'd rather stay at the Holiday Inn and park for free. The room was no better than that anyway.

First off, the location is incredible. A few feet from the BART station, the cable cars, the trolleys, the Niners game bus and a million other busses. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was very helpful and accomidating. We did ask for two rooms together but I guess they couldn't do that so we got two 5 away from each other. Our room was a room with a door inbetween it and the room next to it and that is where the trouble was. We could hear every word the neighbors were saying. We could hear them turn on the tv, flush the toilet, turn on the sink and having "relations". Considering how expensive this place is, I would expect a much better sound proofing job. The door to the hall wasn't any better. We could hear doors slamming up and down the hallway, the ice machine and the ding of the elevators. If you are a deep sleeper and don't mind hearing your neighbors having "a good time", this is the place for you. Luckily, we didn't spend much time in the room since the location is so great, we could walk or take public transportation to anything. But seriously, fix the door seals.
