Excellent Hotel in great location.

Excellent Hotel in great location. Ideal for shopping at Union Square, but handy for all touristic attractions. Beds were large and comfortable. Bottled water was complimentary. Concierge services were excellent. All the staff we came in contact with was excellent. I would absolutely stay there again. Don't forget to bring your swimming gear for the indoor pool!

Loved this place..a great visit overall

right next to the Bart..very historical and gorgeous interior. we would have had tea in the fabulous garden court except for the price -but what a space! Free coffee in the lounge was great but cut off at 10 on weekends, 8:30 on weekdays...the area is mostly office buildings so that's an issue. Loved the pool and health club, don't forget to pack your own water. Beds were oh so comfortable with luxurious sheets! We would definitely go back - I will bring my own tea maker for my evening camomille next time. Thank you [...] for a great price for luxury.

Perfect Choice

This was a last minute reservation as I realized I needed to spend the night at a conference. The only staff I interacted with was at the reception desk. She was welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely. It was elegantly furnished with high ceilings adding to the feeling of proper scale. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The only reason I gave the dining a 3 rating is because I did not have any experience and the survey does not let you skip a category.

Great Valentines Day Weekend!

My husband and I had a great time in San Francisco!!! We did a lot of walking, exploring around, eating out and shopping of course. Everything was great starting from our check in time at the hotel till we checked out the room was very pleasant, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and really nice gym, my husband was very pleased with his work out. Great friendly staff and very good accommodation!

Great location

Location excellent - immediately adjacent to BART, public transit. Pied Piper bar has fun atmosphere (pricey), grand courtyard room, nice rooms but better with exterior view. Walls very thin - you can hear your neighbors. Very convenient for sightseeing, if you get good rates (e.g., off-season - February).

Very nice hotel!

I had a very nice experience at this hotel. I needed to be in the Financial District near Bart so it worked very well for me. The price was affordable compared to others in the area and the room was spacious and clean. It was also very quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and I appreciated the noon checkout, which gave me time to go to breakfast and not have to rush to pack.

Poor Service

Do not let them park your vehicle. We waited almost an hour (40 minutes outside) for our car to be retrieved at a cost of $48 per day. All they could say was "we're busy". Terrible experience. Also, we pre-registered and still had to wait in line for our keys after waiting in line to register. Room service food was not good. When they brought us our bags, one didn't belong to us and one of ours was missing. With all the people unemployed, you would think they could hire a better staff.
