Orchard Garden Hotel

I was in California for work and went back and forth on where to stay since my job is in Palo Alto and I wasn't sure about the commute. I am SO happy that I chose to stay in the city! This hotel was in a GREAT location where I felt safe walking around on my own. All of the major attractions in San Francisco seemed to be easily within walking distance (at MOST I think I walked 1.5-2 miles or so to get to places like Fisherman's wharf). I parked down the street where parking was $10 overnight (in after 5pm, out by 6am) and $3 per 15 minutes after 6am (which seems like a lot but for someone getting up to commute to work every morning I saved a ton over the hotel's $40/night valet). The bed in my room was SUPER comfortable. The sheets were soft and the comforter was really cozy. I only wish I could have slept in a little longer each day! The room itself was spotless and although it was relatively small, for just one person on business it had everything that I needed and more. And, while the room itself was on the small size, the bathroom was HUGE. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Especially because of it's location and because the price was very reasonable, I would absolutely stay here again and again.

New, clean and ultra modern. The only thing that was a little strange was that they are so "green", that you have to insert your room key into a switch when you enter your room to turn on and keep on the power in the room. You must remove it when you leave, therefore your air conditioning and lights go off. We tried to leave our second key in the switch when we went out, but found someone had entered our room and took the card out while we were gone. I think they did that when they were turning down the bed.

Great hotel! Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Upscale environment. Would absolutely stay there again.

This trip was our first out of town overnight trip after having our baby 8 weeks ago, and was a last minute getaway for us. We travel to San Francisco frequently and have stayed in a variety of 4 and 5 star hotels. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean, and the price was more than reasonable for the location. We will definitely stay here again.

On business. Accomidating staff with requests.

For this price, this is probably the best deal you can get in downtown San Francisco. The chain hotels in the area (e.g. Hilton, Marriott) are more expensive and they are not any better. Here the rooms are smaller but they are incredibly new and clean. I would definitely suggest this hotel.

The hotel was in a very convenient part of San Francisco, the tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping etc. were all quite accessible by foot. It was clean & the hotel staff were very friendly & helpful, would recommend.

This 10 story hotel is in a great central location, within (and within steps of) downtown shopping, Chinatown, the Financial District, and the Embarcadero waterfront. It is the City's greenest high-end hotel, with lovely contemporary decor, excellent service all around, and valet parking. A fan of both gourmet and healthy cuisine, I was thrilled to enjoy a scrumptious yet healthy breakfast in their charming restaurant just off the lobby. My only complaint was that the windows do not open (air conditioning only), but otherwise the hotel was delightful.

The hotel was strategically located in the heart of the financial district. Received a friendly and helpful welcome. Got valet parking. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I will be back in April again no doubt about it.
