Very Nice Hotel, Great Location
The Orchard Garden was a beautiful hotel, with a very friendly staff. Although our room was small, it was extremely comfortable & quiet. Our room faced Bush Street and with all the daily traffic outside we never heard a sound. The bed linens were very plush & cozy complete with feather pillows. The bathroom was beautifully done & had a surpisingly large feel considering the room was small. NIce size flat screen TV with dvd player, WiFi access & IPOD docking station. The location of the hotel was convenient to everything. Chinatown entrance was right next to hotel, Powell Street cable cars were two blocks away and it was a short walk to many shopping & dining choices. When we go back to San Francisco we will stay @ the Orchard Garden again.

Good business hotel, but small rooms
Excellent hotel for business travelers. Rooms are small but well equipped, with flat screen TVs and iHome clock radios where you can dock your ipod, and a (small) free DVD rental library. Rooms are very quiet. The small fitness center (2 treadmills and one bike) was well maintained and sparsely used during my stay. Restaurant is pricey, and room service menu very limited. But the location is good with many dining options close by. Would be a squeeze for families, but otherwise an excellent choice.

Very friendly boutique hotel, great location
The staff were all extremely helpful and courteous, and the complimentary breakfast was bountiful, and kept well-stocked and hot. This location is unbeatable - several blocks off of Market St, so it's quiet late-night, yet within easy walking distance of all the best shops, and right at the main entrance gate to Chinatown. Hop on the trolley or bus, and you'r at Golden Gate Park or Fisherman's Wharf areas in minutes. Walk 3 blocks and catch the BART to Oakland or Alameda, and be there in 15 minutes. We highly recommend this hotel as THE place to stay in San Francisco.

A very agreeable hotel
Our four-day stay at this hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff was friendly. This was our first time ever in San Francisco, and the staff was very helpful in getting us oriented and suggesting things to do. The rooms was large enough for our needs. Could have used an extra chair in the room. The bathroom was large, clean, modern and had a noiseless venting system that kept the air dry and fresh. The location was perfect. Close to the BART transit system and a cable car line. A five minute walk to Union Square. Many cafes in the neighborhood.

Modern and Upscale
The Orchard Garden is a great hotel in a great location. Can't say how long they have been open, but the attention to detail and cleanlyness make you feel like the first visiter at a grand opening. The staff was oustanding at providing general information as well as those little tips that help make your vacation one to remember. The rooms are very nice, from the wall mount flat screen T.V., to the bed that is so comfortable it makes you debate wether to see the sights or just stay right there for a few more hours. The only down side is that most pick-up and drop-off services confuse The Orchard Garden with their sister hotel, The Orchard a few blocks up the street. Be sure to specify Garden or just leave to the front desk staff. They get the job done everytime.

Be sure to make time for the Muir Woods & Sausalito Tour that departs from Fishermans Warf (FYI...They will pick you up at the hotel). It's about a 4 hour tour that is well worth your money.

Four Star Feeling in a Great location.
This was our first stay at this Hotel in San Francisco and we found it exceptional. The first Green Hotel in the State. The environment is smoke freel and exceptionally clean and well maintained. We have stayed at many Hotels in this city for several visits over the year and the Orchard Garden offers a very comfortable room. (luxurious bedding) HDTV in the room, but with simple lines and not a lot of frills. Morning breakfast started us off each day with freash fruit and pastries (Scones were my favorites!!) And all the staff was plesant and eager to serve. Great location, at Grant and Bush (Chinatown Gate) within easy walking distance to Union Square shopping the financial district and all publick transportation. We would certainly go back again.

Pleasantly surprise
The Orchard Garden hotel waslocated in the heart of downtown San Francisco. We were able to enjoy all of the wonderful restaurants and other sights in SF. Our room was very nice and even had Internet access which I needed for course work that I was completing. Since it was a realive neww hotle there were a few minor things that needed to be fixed. However, when we called the front desk things were taken care of immediatley. I love the City of San Francisco and I certainly would like to return to the Orchard Garden
