Historic Nob Hill hotel blends old and new with top-notch steakhouse
The past is new again at this circa-1926 hotel atop Nob Hill. Originally built as a bank, the property features classic stonework, stained glass and decorative touches. The lobby is adorned with Italian marble, rich fabrics and Austrian crystal chandeliers. Guestrooms mirror this classic elegance. The hotel is within walking distance of the city's storied cable cars. Bob's Steak & Chop House, the on-site restaurant, has established itself as one of the best steakhouses in the entire city. Great service!
The staff at the Omni were incredible! Everyone was friendly, professional, effecient! They answered questions, gave directions, all with a smile. This staff didn't just smile as if they were working they SMILED like they were honestly happy to see you! We requested towels since we had left the do not disturb sign on our door in error and the towels were in our bath when we arrived upstairs 10 mins later! I want this hotel and staff in every city I visit!

We walked to China Town since it is around the corner. You can catch a cable car on the corner and get to the Embarcadero & the Wharf. They have tour buses that you can hop on/hop off; $35.00 for 2 days/20 stops.

Omni Hotel - Classic and refined
Great stay. Well taken care of property with all of the finest amenities and touches. Would stay here again anytime on business or pleasure. In the heart of the financial district so not the hustle and bustle of Union Square, but definitely a great property close to it all.

Great stay!
Excellent stay. Room was spotless, quiet, and well appointed. Location is great -- walking distance to Union Square and Ferry Building. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic hotel!
All of the staff were great and very service oriented. Worlds apart from the impersonal service at places like the Hilton.

Impressed by service
Impressed by the service, everyone was always in a good mood and had great disposition to offer directions if help if needed. My 20 month old baby was sick from her stomach one day and staff came promptly twice to change sheets around 2 am and 4 am, didn't have to wait much and staff was always nice. Also the doormen were always helpful and very attentive.

Excellent hotel, service outstanding!!
Great hotel in a great location to see San Francisco, located near Chinatown and North Beach (great Italian restaurants). Cable car right in front of hotel and service was the best part of it, extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!

Just excellant
Arrived on a Thursday and left Sunday, for my wife's birthday getaway to San Francisco. The entire staff was curteous, professional and helpful. We loved the location. We immediately walked to nearby China Town for lunch and then down to Union Square. The cable car was right out the front door of the Omni and we rode it the next day to Union Square via Nob Hill and on Saturday to Fisherman's Wharf. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and quiet. The bar had a decent pour and the lamb was excellant at Bob's Steak House, there at the hotel.

Perfect City Centre Getaway
We spent our 4th wedding anniversary at the Omni Hotel in San Francisco. Very friendly service, beautiful rooms. I cannot find any fault. It was a wonderful experience.

Omni San Francisco
The hotel staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. I was in SF for a business dinner and then site seeing around China Town. The room afforded a fantastic view of California St.

Great well balanced hotel
I found the Omni to be the best hotel I've stayed in in SF. For the price it simply cannot be beat. It has character but not in that "tiny Euro-style" way of some of the upscale but boutique-like hotels in SF. It had good sized clean rooms and efficient service but not in the "mass produced giant business center" hotel model. Everyone was VERY friendly and helpful, especially the door staff. If I had a complaint, it would be that the onsite restaurant was really, really expensive. A cafe-alternative would have been nice, especially since most of the Starbucks in the area are closed on the weekends. But overall, for under $200/night, it was great!
