Historic Nob Hill hotel blends old and new with top-notch steakhouse
The past is new again at this circa-1926 hotel atop Nob Hill. Originally built as a bank, the property features classic stonework, stained glass and decorative touches. The lobby is adorned with Italian marble, rich fabrics and Austrian crystal chandeliers. Guestrooms mirror this classic elegance. LA Tourist Couple
Weekend Tourists
We came up from LA for the weekend to just be tourists in San Francisco. The OMNI is located within walking distance to so many areas (China Town, Financial District, Fisherman's Wharf, Embarcadero, AT&T Park, Little Italy) and is only 4 blocks from a BART station if you're wanting to go to other areas. We took BART to go to/from the airport and to the Orpheum Theater to see the Lion King. There's also a cable car stop right outside the hotel. Since the OMNI is right in the heart of the Financial District, a lot of things in that area are closed on weekends since they cater to the Monday-Friday crowd, but you'll find lots of things open just a short walk away. It was nice to stay in a quieter, less touristy area actually. The staff at the OMNI is the best you'll find, from the doorman to the front desk to the maids to room service. Upon arrival into our room, we had a hand-written note from the maid along with a note from the hotel staff welcoming us and telling us to not hesitate to let them know if we needed anything at all. Anytime we would pass a maid in the hallway, she would say hello and ask us how our day was. The doormen asked us if they could point us in the direction of anything each time we left, and they welcomed us back each time we returned. We couldn't believe how friendly everyone was, and how each person seemed to be in such a good mood, enjoying what they do. Our bed was very comfortable. We can't stop talking about the pillows! The room itself was spacious and everything was in perfect working order. Be sure to join their rewards program (it's FREE) for complimentary in-room wireless and daily morning beverages and newspaper (weekdays only) delivery.

1-night stay at Omni San Francisco hotel
This is a very nice hotel and I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. My one issue was that I had requested a non-smoking room, which they couldn't accommodate (in fairness they did not guarantee that the could accommodate guest preferences). The room had the smell of using some kind of product to cover up smoke. I called the front desk, and the staff person said that there were no available rooms to which I could move. They did send someone to "ionize" the room, a process which took about 45 minutes and during which I had to leave the room. It smelled better for a little while but then the odor returned.

You can't go wrong here
Wonderful location in Nob Hill in San Francisco. Cable car stop directly in front of hotel. Hotel is first rate with service and rooms. Would definitely stay again at this hotel

Great trip
Everyone at the Omni was terrific! Everyone had a smile for us and a pleasant greeting. The room was spotless and beautiful. The beds are not queen sized but full sized (a bit small for us). The location was perfect. The cable car ran right outside the hotel, so getting to Union square or Fisherman's W. was easy. The resturant was pricey, but lots of othere places to eat in the area. I can't say enough about the service, congeniality, and friendliness of the hotel staff. Full amenities in the room, never wanted for anything. Great place ... Will stay again.

Virginia Travelers
Great Location Great Staff
My daughter and I arrived for a one day stay before flying home to Virginia. The staff at this hotel is amazing. Everyone is very nice and helpful and tolerates all the tourist questions. The doorman helped us with shopping tips and coupons, the bellmen and the valets provided great information and directions. The hotel is in a great spot with the cable car right out front.

Concierge and front desk were great! We had one of the best steak dinners at Bobs steakhouse which is in the hotel! The location of the hotel was great too.

Beautiful comfort
We did mostly sightseeing in the San Francisco area. the room was so comfortable to come to & the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. great showers too. the concierge was very helpful in planning our days

Unfortunately, it was a very short stay and not much time spent in the hotel. We arrived early and were going to check our bags but our room was ready. It was so nice to be able to check in early and start our sightseeing. The room was lovely. The bed amazingly comfortable with luxe linens. My favorite was the robe. I wish I could have lounged longer. The only thing that would have been better was the view.

Upscale vacation at reasonable prices
A classy hotel with friendly (not at all snooty) and helpful staff. The location was perfect, although it's very hard to get around San Francisco. The rooms had turn-down service and fluffy bathrobes, and they were very quiet in the heart of the city. The beds were amazingly comfortable. A delightful experience!
