Historic Nob Hill hotel blends old and new with top-notch steakhouse
The past is new again at this circa-1926 hotel atop Nob Hill. Originally built as a bank, the property features classic stonework, stained glass and decorative touches. The lobby is adorned with Italian marble, rich fabrics and Austrian crystal chandeliers. Guestrooms mirror this classic elegance. The hotel is within walking distance of the city's storied cable cars. Bob's Steak & Chop House, the on-site restaurant, has established itself as one of the best steakhouses in the entire city. LA Tourist Couple
Weekend Tourists
We came up from LA for the weekend to just be tourists in San Francisco. The OMNI is located within walking distance to so many areas (China Town, Financial District, Fisherman's Wharf, Embarcadero, AT&T Park, Little Italy) and is only 4 blocks from a BART station if you're wanting to go to other areas. We took BART to go to/from the airport and to the Orpheum Theater to see the Lion King. There's also a cable car stop right outside the hotel. Since the OMNI is right in the heart of the Financial District, a lot of things in that area are closed on weekends since they cater to the Monday-Friday crowd, but you'll find lots of things open just a short walk away. It was nice to stay in a quieter, less touristy area actually. The staff at the OMNI is the best you'll find, from the doorman to the front desk to the maids to room service. Upon arrival into our room, we had a hand-written note from the maid along with a note from the hotel staff welcoming us and telling us to not hesitate to let them know if we needed anything at all. Anytime we would pass a maid in the hallway, she would say hello and ask us how our day was. The doormen asked us if they could point us in the direction of anything each time we left, and they welcomed us back each time we returned. We couldn't believe how friendly everyone was, and how each person seemed to be in such a good mood, enjoying what they do. Our bed was very comfortable. We can't stop talking about the pillows! The room itself was spacious and everything was in perfect working order. Be sure to join their rewards program (it's FREE) for complimentary in-room wireless and daily morning beverages and newspaper (weekdays only) delivery.

Great overnight stay.
This was our second stay in 10 days at the Omni. Both times everyone on the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. From the hot apple cider on arrival to a seemless checkout everything was perfect.

Omni San Franciso
We were well taken care of, our connection withthe hotel was really a great help. We needed an earlycheck in with a handicapped room. [...] had us checked in when we arrived. The staffwere very friendly and went out of their way to help.We had a convention at another hotel, I called our friends who were coming from Nevada, they booked tworooms and could not stop talking about the staff at the OMNI.

Omni San Francisco
This hotel was amazing, and the service was impecable. The staff went out of their way on numerous occasions to help us with directions around the city, as well as helping us with anything we needed in the hotel. The doormen always greated us with a warm welcome. They would even provide us with coupons for area stores. The rooms were clean. The pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but if that is my only complaint... I can deal with it! The location of the hotel was perfect. A short walk to the MUNI so you can take bus/subway system anywhere around San Francisco. Very short walk to the trolley if you want to the go the wharf. And, the double decker bus actually stops right in front of the Omni. Perfect! I highly recommend this hotel.

Buy a ticket on the double decker bus. One of the stops is right outside of the hotel, and it takes you to all of the major attractions. The tickets are good for 2 days and you can get on and off as many times a you like. Way cheaper than a cab!

A great escape. In the heart of SF!
Wonderful Hotel! The hotel was clean, elegantand quiet. The bed linens were heaven, the mattress comfortable and the room temperature perfect.The staff was discrete but friendly.I was traveling alone and felt very safe.The location was perfect. Luxorious and elegant!
Beautiful hotel. Great room with comfortable beds, gorgeous high ceiling bathroom with elegant fixtures. Truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. All the staff including housekeeping were amazing. Wish I could've stayed longer!

We have just returned back from
We have just returned back from a trip to california for two and a half weeks.We chose the Omni SF for a three night stopover to savour the delights of San Francisco. Our choice of the Omni was based both on the wonderful experience we had last year in its sister the omni berkshire in new York and the excellent reviews kindly posted by other visitors to this hotel on trip advisor. And wow we were not dissapointed-from beginning to end the omni SF was excellent in every way . Astoundingly central location- walked everywhere ,to chinatown in five mins ,union square not much more,little italy in ten ,city lights book store and vesuvius bar in same.Brilliant and all safe to walk with no threat . The staff could only be described as superb and a credit to the Omni hotel .Welcoming ,accomodating ,helpful in every way and just generally cheerful and desiring to make our stay with them superb. From the concierge to the check in staff to the doormen and bell men they were outstanding.

This is a simply lovely hotel

The service was excellent, everyone
The service was excellent, everyone was very accomodating. The room itself was very nice and the bed was quite comfortable, although our view was not the best. Good location. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to get to and it was just a few blocks to catch the trolley or bus for some of the other places that were a little further than we cared to walk. We will definitely stay here again!
