Historic Nob Hill hotel blends old and new with top-notch steakhouse
The past is new again at this circa-1926 hotel atop Nob Hill. Originally built as a bank, the property features classic stonework, stained glass and decorative touches. The lobby is adorned with Italian marble, rich fabrics and Austrian crystal chandeliers. Guestrooms mirror this classic elegance. The hotel is within walking distance of the city's storied cable cars. Bob's Steak & Chop House, the on-site restaurant, has established itself as one of the best steakhouses in the entire city. Summer Vacation
This is my third summer vacation now in San Francisco. I have stayed in three very good four star hotels and The Omni is by far my favorite. The rooms are spacious, very well appointed, very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The staff is what really sets this hotel apart from the others. Everyone, from the front desk, to the bell staff, to the maid staff, treat you like a VIP and always greet you warmly. The maid staff even write little notes greeting you on your first day. I enthusiastically recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit.

Omni was great
The room rate and parking were discounted for our weekend stay since it is located in the financial district but the cable cars are right there in front of the hotel. The walk to Chinatown was quick and Union Square and the Ferry Building are also a short walk. We got up Saturday morning and drove to Napa to take the Wine Train (Loved it). We got back to the hotel just in time to take a cab to see Wicked (Loved it)! Checked out Sunday morning and spent the day in Chinatown with the car safely parked at the hotel for free! The staff was great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Have the Egg Fu Young for breakfast at the Empress of China on Grant and Washington. Enjoy the view of Chinatown from the 6th floor restaurant and then go downstairs to see the jade and silk art collection and the guy in the little booth painting away!

Great well balanced hotel
I found the Omni to be the best hotel I've stayed in in SF. For the price it simply cannot be beat. It has character but not in that "tiny Euro-style" way of some of the upscale but boutique-like hotels in SF. It had good sized clean rooms and efficient service but not in the "mass produced giant business center" hotel model. Everyone was VERY friendly and helpful, especially the door staff. If I had a complaint, it would be that the onsite restaurant was really, really expensive. A cafe-alternative would have been nice, especially since most of the Starbucks in the area are closed on the weekends. But overall, for under $200/night, it was great!

A Ritz for 1/2 half
Very friendly staff. Very elegant hotel. Kind of reminded me of a Ritz Carlton but for 1/2 the price. Great location to Union Square and the Ferry Building.

The hotel staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. I was in SF for a business dinner and then site seeing around China Town. The room afforded a fantastic view of California St.

Perfect City Centre Getaway
We spent our 4th wedding anniversary at the Omni Hotel in San Francisco. Very friendly service, beautiful rooms. I cannot find any fault. It was a wonderful experience.

Just excellant
Arrived on a Thursday and left Sunday, for my wife's birthday getaway to San Francisco. The entire staff was curteous, professional and helpful. We loved the location. We immediately walked to nearby China Town for lunch and then down to Union Square. The cable car was right out the front door of the Omni and we rode it the next day to Union Square via Nob Hill and on Saturday to Fisherman's Wharf. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and quiet. The bar had a decent pour and the lamb was excellant at Bob's Steak House, there at the hotel.

Excellent hotel, service outstanding!!
Great hotel in a great location to see San Francisco, located near Chinatown and North Beach (great Italian restaurants). Cable car right in front of hotel and service was the best part of it, extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!
