Historic Nob Hill hotel blends old and new with top-notch steakhouse
The past is new again at this circa-1926 hotel atop Nob Hill. Originally built as a bank, the property features classic stonework, stained glass and decorative touches. The lobby is adorned with Italian marble, rich fabrics and Austrian crystal chandeliers. Guestrooms mirror this classic elegance. The hotel is within walking distance of the city's storied cable cars. Bob's Steak & Chop House, the on-site restaurant, has established itself as one of the best steakhouses in the entire city. Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Take the 30-45 minute drive to see Muir Woods. Don't let GPS or mapquest fool you. The distance is short and well worth the drive from the city.

Omni San Francisco Hotel
A wonderful experience at the Omni. The front desk was very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The location in the city is good if you want to travel by car or public transportation.

first visit to the city
Everyone was very helpful. The location is pretty good, not far from Chinatown, and the cable cars are right outside the building.

very nice hotel.
Great location for business--- across the street from the B of A building and on a cable car line--- but very good for pleasure also. Maybe 10 minute walk to heart of retail district. Literally next door to Chinatown. $5 cab ride to heart of North Beach. Fanastic lobby, nice restaurant (steak house), great staff. Very clean room, decent size---just a little more traditional than my preference ( 'heavy' dark woods, no flat screen). We were there for our 30th anniversary and we not disappointed.

Excellent Employees
From the moment we stepped out of our car and were greeted by the doorman and then on to the front desk, to the housekeeper and restaurant employees everyone was so helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. There are remodeled upgraded rooms on the upper floors which are very nice. Very clean. The lobby was decorated for Christmas, it was beautiful. Yes, I would stay there again. Easy access to everything. We had a great time.

Take Taxis. Remember you are in San Francisco so some of the hills can be challenging for older adults.

Great hotel
Stayed at the hotel for 2 days post Christmas and really enjoyed the hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, hotel staff is also very friendly. the location though is bitter sweet. hotel is located in financial district and so that makes it great place for lunch and breakfast however, it is not ideal for dinner. most of the good restaurants close after 7. SF is small city so you can always cab towards mission for good food and also to major attractions for less than $15.

Very Nice Stay in Downtown San Francisco
Great location and very helpful staff. They went out of the way to help use, especially nice to my 86 year old demanding mother-in-law. Got a very good deal on price, so overall a great experience.

First class, professional staff
What a fabulous hotel staff. From the doorman to the front desk staff to the housekeepers, the Omni treats their guests first class. The mattress and bedding are top of the line. The only negative I have about this hotel is the $10 charge per day if you use their wi-fi.
