Motel 6 San Francisco CA

The staff was super helpful! They have free bag storage so you check out, and they put you're bags away in a safe and locked location. Also, check in time is 2pm, but I showed up at about 12:30, and they were willing to check us in. It felt safe, it was quiet, and it was clean.

Went to SFO for a chance to relax. Positive: Free WIFI GREAT Location AWESOME staff Negative: Hard beds Lots of street noise (but not the hotel's fault) Overall LOVED this place. Stayed in the Fairmont after this and actually wanted to go back for location and free wifi.

On a packed weekend in SF, this room was inexpensive and well-located. It's close to Union Square and all the shopping, and just a short bus or trolley ride from all the major tourist attractions like Fisherman's Wharf or the ferry departure to Alcatraz. The room was clean, well-maintained, and very quiet at night (which is impressive in this neighborhood). It had a refrigerator but no other frills. The neighborhood is in the tenderloin, about 3 blocks west of the completely safe union square neighborhood, and there are some questionable characters loitering (not right outside the hotel but nearby). I walked from there to everything during the daytime, but used a cab at night. The hotel elevator is open to the street rather than inside the lobby, but does require keycard access. In summary, by no means luxury but practical and acceptable on a budget.

We were here for the Women's Nike Marathon, The start was only half a mile away and their free parking and late checkout made things very easy for us. For the price we paid it was really good. Beds could be a bit better but I cannot really complain.

It was easy to find and close to where you need to be. It was clean inside the hotel and the room. There were no hairdryers, shampoo, just three bars of small soap. The people who live in the building across the street could watch me in my room. No privacy! The staff was nice and the parking is free. Unfortunately, at night, it gets scary out. It is not a nice area. It is very noisy with the street walkers and homeless people. I woke up to motorcyclist playing with their engines at 10:30 pm. Through out the rest of the night, there was music blasting from cars parked out front and then there was the ladies of the night screaming and fighting over a man at 3:30am. One of the hotel guest started yelling from his room back at them to shut up, but that only made things worse! They started to fight with him and throwing things up at his window. It was the worst night's rest I have ever had. I didn't get to sleep until 5am. Good luck if you choose this hotel.

Just what I expected. Average motel 6 in a great location. Free parking is a plus!

Good location and rooms

It was just fine. Bare bones room. Had to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk. They would not give us more then 1 extra set of towels. Clean room. Great night life. Truly the Motel 6 experience.

My friend and I stayed at this motel while we were in SF for a festival. The location of the motel was great but that was about it.The price was ok, I guess but not for what they had to offer. You get one parking space...seriously it's a small garage with not a lot of space. The elevators are SUPER slow and are due for a inspection. The staff wasn't bad but I did not interact with them much at all. The rooms don't have a clock and the halls aren't inviting. However,since the entire city was sold out of rooms, they had one and it was a affordable. I wouldn't not recommend it but keep looking just in case.

It was a bed for the night and that was all I needed.
