Not often that I stay in SF, mainly because I live in the East Bay, but Le Meridien is a hotel that I would stay at over and over. Easily accesible, great location, plenty of things to do in walking distance. If you haven't stayed there, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Almost a five! Highly recommend.

This hotel is primarily geared to business travelers since it is located in the financial rather than touristic area. The beds and rooms are super-comfortable, very important for jet-lagged travelers. Classic contemporary decor with nice art work. Near good restaurants, many of which are closed on weekend. Would definitely return, near Chinatown, North Beach, Ferry Terminal. Much quieter than tourist throngs in Union Square area.

Great eating options a few blocks away, including Perbacco, Barbacco, Globe, House, Boulevard, Dim Sum at Yap Sink. Sit-down breakfast options are very limited, especially on weekends. Meridienl serves good breakfast buffet on weekends, however.

Quiet, romantic weekend

We decided to upgrade to a Bay view room, and it was worth the $20 per night! Stunning views, even on foggy days, and the room was quiet, private, large, and clean. I like the modern minimalist design to the entire hotel including the individual rooms. The keys are created by artists and unlock artistic discoveries throughout San Francisco in addition to unlocking your room. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. There is complimentary Illy coffee in the morning, which is brewed very well. You can also choose to go green and conserve your room cleaning for a $5 voucher at the hotel's bar, restaurant, or room service. This hotel is truly a gem, located in Embarcadero Center 4 which is walking distance from the Ferry Building, amazing downtown restaurants like Wayfare Tavern, and not far from Chinatown/North Beach and Jack Kerouac alley. Impeccable service, an ethic towards saving our planet, and a modern classic aesthetic make the Le Meridien a high-end hotel for a reasonable price. If you're wondering whether you should stay here or not, you should stay here.

Great central locale!

Great central location so easy access to Chinatown, Little Italy, walk to the water for transportation down to Fishermans Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, etc. Room was good sized with comfortable beds and nice bath/shower. Only downside was the air conditioning didn't get too low. Was a little warm overnight. But its rare that the city is in the 80's so probably not a common issue. I wld definitely stay again!

Awesome location for a so-so hotel

This hotel SHOULD be better than it is. Room decor is tired and dated, small tub in bathroom and nothing special, honestly. Especially for the price. Staff is OK. One of my 4 nights a party was taking place in the room next to mine and loud noise at 2am failed to bring staff to help me with this. I called 3 times and each time they assured me they were taking care of situation. Yeah, right. At 4:30 am quiet ensued. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

Nice hotel in SF

My experience at the hotel was great, the only downside is that staying in the Financial District makes it tough to find open restaurants on the weekends (Sunday/Saturday late night). The hotel itself was very nicely set up, the staff was friendly & helpful, and we had a nice view of the water & city.
