nice location
We only stayed one night here but enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, the hotel is in a convenient location, and the room is small but comfortable. I was prepared for the small room and bathroom, which did not bother me one bit. The bed was comfortable. The Larkspur is located across from a Walgreens and 7-11. Which was handy due to our baggage having been lost in our travels. We were able to go buy toiletry items very easily. I believe Larkspur also sells toiletry items. Next door is a diner that is open late. I was hoping to try the bar inside the hotel but it was closed at the times were were there. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

Great hotel. Even better hotel staff!
As my wife and I often choose to spend weekend getaways in San Francisco, we have found our home away from home at the Larkspur Hotel. From the great location to Union Square, shopping and restaurants, the comfortable hotel room, it was the entire staff that won us over. From the bell person, to room service, to the entire front desk, our future stays in San francisco will be at Larkspur Hotel.

Too expensive for it's value.
This hotel was far too expensive for it's worth. I spent $700 in 3 days for an average looking room. I thought I was getting me a good deal, but when I saw the initial room, I had to upgrade. The upgrade price was horrific, $100 a night. The porters are wonderful but the staff are rude. Parking is an additional $27 a night. Pay the same or slightly higher price somewhere generic and at least enjoy your room and stay.

Do not book without looking at the room. You think you're getting a great deal when you actually aren't. I upgraded $100 a night just for a normal room.

Our stay at the Larkspur was absolutely perfect. The location is ideal for nearby shopping or access to the wonderful public transportation options available. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. We will definitely return.

Great Location
This hotel is very charming. Our room was just right for the two of us and very clean. The location is perfect for anything you want to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions and give money-saving advice. Kevin, thanks for all your help. Cheapest parking rates around. We would definitely stay here the next time we visit San Francisco!

great three day get away spot
My husband and I really only needed a place to sleep while visiting with friends running the marathon. The location was perfect and the room was very clean. The room was a bit on the small side but adequate for our needs and the price was great. The staff was very courteous and quite helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location
I had this room booked for a business purpose on a budget. I was pleased. Not sure if you're looking for a pleasure hotel. The building was old and the room was small. Not as good as the picture in their website. But I really love the location! Everything was walking distance and public transportation was very easy to reach. I just hope they could provide a parking validation to save some cost, but for the room price, it's really a bargain to have it in such a location.
