I've stayed here three times for a week at a time each. The internet isn't the best, but it is free. Shower hot water was flakey on me in 1 of the rooms, but has been fine in the other 2 I've stayed in. Other than that everything has been great.
Great location, nothing special otherwise, but acceptable
GREAT location. Reasonably priced for the location. Desk staff needed prodding to honor the actual reservation for a king bed and sent me to a queen room first. Rooms are small. Acceptable for one person; would be tight quarters for two. Elevator
(not plural) is ancient, small, and slow. Morning coffee/tea downstairs.
Victorian style hotel in a good location close to Union Square. It's an older hotel that has not updated fully with the times. Lack of outlets in room and no fitness center on site. Quite a few hotels in the area that are a better value.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Very authentic SiChuan style cuisine at The Pot Sticker in China town at 150 Waverly Place.
Friendly staff that were helpful about San Francisco. Rooms are getting a bit tired: need redecoration and the electrical wiring is ancient. Plugging in a laptop to recharge it was a nightmare and we ended up doing it in the bathroom!
