The hotel is one street over from Union Square and local shopping. And access to public transportation and bus tours is handy. The rooms are small but newly remodeled and very clean. Since it is a busy city there is a fair share of street noise
that you would except. We enjoyed a nice glass wine in their bar after a busy day touring the city.
The room was small, but completely adequate for our needs. The faucet in the bathroom leaked, but was not loud or annoying. There are numerous restaurants nearby and Union Square, the Trolley, and Bart station are all a short walk away. I would
definitely stay here again!
This hotel has many positives. Friendly staff, good location, very clean rooms. Staff very helpful in guiding to good restaurants and how to use local transportation. Could use a fridge in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would
definitely recommend a stay there.
The hotel is very nice looking, friendly staff and the location is perfect for short distance walks to restaurants, stores, parking building, etc. Though the room is quite small it is clean and organized. The elevator is narrow so it only fits
around 4 people same with the stairs which is quite steep to climb to but overall worth the stay and price.
First of all think of the price and how old the Hotel is.
For the location you can't get any better. Close to Union Square, BART/Powell Station and lots of good restaraunts. Rooms are small and especially the bathroom. View I had was of the back
of the the Hostel next door and a Starbucks. Rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Sears Fune Food is couple blocks away and GREAT for breakfast.
Aside from a noisy late night neighbor one evening, our stay was perfect. Right in the middle of San Francisco with a bit of history, the hotel has amazingly fresh new rooms - beautifully appointed. Although it does not boast its own restaurant,
it is sandwiched between two perfectly excellent eateries. A short block from cable-cars and the tony arts district of galleries, it is equally a very short distance to BART and more upscale shopping than anyone can afford in one visit. An extraordinary value, for sure.
Great location, nothing special otherwise, but acceptable
GREAT location. Reasonably priced for the location. Desk staff needed prodding to honor the actual reservation for a king bed and sent me to a queen room first. Rooms are small. Acceptable for one person; would be tight quarters for two. Elevator
(not plural) is ancient, small, and slow. Morning coffee/tea downstairs.
