Union Square hotel offers fine dining, eclectic design and free Wi-Fi

Innovative coastal cuisine is the theme at Farallon, the on-site restaurant that features richly imagined undersea elements. Guest rooms at the Kensington Park Hotel reveal a hint of English-garden inspiration while also maintaining an eclectic vibe that's distinctly San Francisco. Complimentary afternoon tea and sherry service help guests feel welcomed and cared for.

Right in the Heart of San Francisco

Great location adjacent to Union Square with many designer stores, cable cars, and hop off and on buses. Staff extremely helpful and accomodating. Boutique hotel, not run of the mill chain. Great bedding, robes, slippers. Served sherry and tea in the afternoon. It was a nice little luxury for us as we spent the weekend watching our son compete in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.

We took one of the many "hop off and hop on" tours to orient ourselves to our surroundings. Lots of good info about the city. The tickets were good for 48 hours.

Comfortable and Convenient

We were able to walk to both the Golden Gate Theatre and the Orpheum from the hotel. Shopping is very convenient - so is Chinatown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were ready with dining and activity suggestions. The hotel was VERY easy to find; it was clean and quiet. No real views - but we were there to sleep only - so did not affect our stay. As with all older hotels, small bathroom with no place to put all of your toiletries. However, one of the most comfortable beds we've slept on in a hotel in SF.

A Great Place to Stay!

Located right off of Union Square, the hotel provided easy access to shopping, cable cars and entertainment. A responsive and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. The only down side was street noise during the night. I would recommend reserving a room that does not face Post Street, which will also provide you with a stunning view of Nob Hill.

Great experience for first trip with infant!

Kensington was able to accomodate us with getting a crib as well as a small fridge with freezer for me! Both were essential to ensure my infant was comfortable and able to feed on breast milk while I was at conference. The staff were always extremely friendly and the location is great!

There is only one soda machine in the hotel and it was out of water. If you want bottled water in your room pick it up before you head in for the evening.

A great stay!!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Kensington Park Hotel. The location was perfect, the staff friendly and helpful, our room clean and quiet, if a bit small. The vitual lack of counter space in the bathroom would be my only complaint.

convenient and friendly

The hotel has that vintage " faded elegance" sort of charm. The staff was helpful with directions and suggestions. The trolly stop on the corner is wonerful-- buy a multiple- day muni pass which also works for busses. Our room was small, but quiet and clean. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Outstanding location in San Francisco.!

Perfect location, Outstanding shopping right outside your door. Also outside your door step you can catch a cable car and go to Pier 39,China Town, & Fishermen's Wharf. You can easily walk to China town without walking up a big hill. close to little Italy and great restaurants. You are right in the middle of the Theaters section. On an on and on.
