Very Nice Hotel

The hotel was very nice and only 3 blocks away from great shopping, the Trolley car turn-around at Market street. The pool and work out area were very nice. The breakfast buffet is fabulous in what it offers and how it tastes but was too pricey. I was at the hotel for a 4 day vacation with family and it was a nice place to stay, but the hotel seemed to be primarily occupied by the business traveler.

Great location and great value!

I've been to San Francisco Hilton and Marriot in Union Square before, and Intercontinental tops them all in terms of customer service and the facility. It's newer, better, and cleaner than the other two mentioned. Plus, you will get a better view if you are facing the bay side. Little compliment at the front desk got us a room on the 29th floor, and the view was so beautiful, even though the hotel was smacked right in the middle of the Union Squares with all the high rises. Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Metreon mega theatre is just down the street as well as all the shopping joints at the Union Square. Street felt safer than some other parts of Union Square neighborhood. Walgreens is just few blocks down if you forgot to pack something.

Expensive parking

We enjoyed the view from our room but other than that..hotel experience was disappointing! Airconditioning was so bad..so hot inside the room because AC is unreliable! Please fix! Water supply also was ridiculous! It would take you an hour or two in the shower because water is too slow or almost to nothing! Lastly, the parking is overpriced at 53 + tax ??? It will cost u the same as your accomodation jst for 2nyts parking in the hotel!! Better find another hotel with free guest parking and stay in their suite room coz it's the same price!!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Look for a hotel with minimal charge for parking or free hotel guest parking or else you will end up paying $60 per night for parking! Money should be for dining or shopping not for parking!!

sweetness....

This is a great homebase for a stay in San Francisco. It's a couple of blocks from Union Square. The beds were fantastic. And considering it's in downtown San Fran, the price was good.
