Fancy Hotel

The location is fantastic. Located right next to a parking garage and right next to the Moscone and Metreon. A couple of short blocks to the Westfield Mall which is a couple of blocks away from union square.

Great location for the price

The hotel was very nicely appointed. It was a 10 minute walk from Union Square and about 15 from Chinatown. The room was very clean and the views were very decent from the 12th floor where we stayed. The only negative was the mini-fridge. The hotel filled it with their own (pricy) stuff and left about a square inch for the guest's things.

"Awesome Honeymoon"

The hotel was very clean, contemporary, spacious, and the staff was extremely helpful. They went above and beyond their required call of duty to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I highly rate the hotel.

The hotel is very close to great shopping in Union Square. But, if you want to get more unique SF only stores, go to the mission area.

Good Deal

We live in the Bay Area, but were attending an event downtown and decided to treat ourselves to a night in the City. The location was great for our event which was at the Marriott (about two blocks away) and the Metreon, which was just over a block. Rooms were clean and spacious. Location was great for us. We parked at the 5th and Mission Garage, which was just around the block and saved ourselves about $28 in parking for one night. That worked well for us since we had limited luggage and didn't really need a valet.

Lots of food options at the Metreon, which is down the street. Also, you can catch a movie while you are there.

Comfortable but not accomadating

Our stay at the InterContinental San Francisco hotel wasn't horrible, but wasn't something that stood out to us by any means. The hotel room itself was probably a 4 star rating, but the staff, and friendliness of the staff were that of a hotel that rates anywhere between 1-4, nothing special. Although this doesn't apply to the staff, they did charge us for any local calls that we made from the hotel, starting out at $1.60 per call, just a little more info about the hotel. We did enjoy a couple meals from the menu in our hotel room, and they were great. All in all it was ok, just expect them to be anything but friendly to you.

Find the mall that is in the Market area, the food court was amazing, and there is a small grocery stoor that has a yummy salad bar, and fresh fruit
