Pleasantly Surprised

Overall a great stay! Very comfortable room with everything one may need for your stay. Walking distance to many cultural hot spots and good food choices. I believe I will be a frequent flyer at this hidden gem. The staff was over the top for service. I went for several appointments at UCSF, and it was a walkable treat for the eyes, beautiful homes to look at and of course interesting encounters with the locals of the city. Just one down side. Expensive parking in the garage, but it was the only add on, but pricey. Five Stars! overall...lets get that garage thing fixed though. I've paid less in NYC to park. Aj

Great for what it is

I thought Tomo was very interesting and unique. I just ultimately wished I'd stayed at a more traditional hotel. It was clean and everyone was nice, so that's all you can really ask for.

Okay for Work Trip

The was the only hotel left in SF that wasn't $600+ a night during Dreamforce. It was still way over-priced, but in a great area. Much quieter and safer-feeling than the financial district or union square. After I booked, I found out it was a Best Western (or Joie de Livre now) but it just needs redone. You can tell its old and the Japanese-themed redo almost calls out to it more.
