Quiet ,friendly, accomodating

The hotel allowed us an early checkin after an overnight flight from Hawaii. Very quiet, restaurant attached had very good breakfast.

Burning up

Bedroom was small and and seemingly underfloor heating in bathroom made it far too hot -- in June. Air conditioning, which may have compensated, was too nosy to use. But the prodigal waste of energy annoyed me -- an inconvenient truth.

A comfortable, enjoyable experience.

My wife and I spent three restful days at the Hotel Rex during our recent weekend in San Francisco. The hotel was in a great location, just a short (~10 minute) walk from the Powell St. BART station. It had easy access to other public transportation (MUNI) and the attached restaurant was very accommodating for my wife's gluten allergy. All of this for a very reasonable price downtown.

Good Location

The hotel staff was very good and accomodating. We were given a room at the front of the hotel that seemed about the size of a large bathroom. It was small and near the elevator so we expressed our dissatisfaction and they promptly move us further down. The new room was nice and a typical size for a boutique hotel. The front desk explained that many guests prefer the front of the hotel, so we may have been an exception. The complimentary wine and the happy hour special is something to take advantage of. Very relaxing after a day of sight seeing. The location was the best part. Very near everything, but the room was so quiet and the curtains blacked out so much we slept in an extra two hours --completely unheard of in my family.

Very Quaint

Liked this hotel, but was almost a little too fancy for me.
