Fantastic location

Friendly, professional staff. Excellent location near multiple restaurant hubs. Away from downtown area, but on transit lines. Corner and upper floor rooms are best. Deep Japanese tub is best for soaking after long day of walking.

Great choice in San Francisco

This is the only hotel is this part of town and it's near Fillmore Street and Pacific Heights, may favorite parts of San Francisco. It's where a lot of performers stay when their in the city to avoid crowds. (John Lennon and Yoko Ono stayed here. It's quiet, clear, well run. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. It's always my first choice when I'm in the city.

Wonderful views, location

Stayed in higher floor, corner room with wonderful views of cityscape, sun-filled. Amazing location in Japantown - close to Lower Pacific Heights, walking distance Kabuki and Imperial spas, and good convenient bus routes to several neighborhoods. Deep Japanese tub to soak after a day of walking.

Time in Japan Town

The Hotel is OK. Not specatcular. No food at all on Monday nite. Not even Room service. Gym is a joke. TV in room old. No Pay for view or on Demand. Clean however. Staff is OK. Location for area OK. Overall OK woyuld try something else next time.

Loved Hotel Kabuki

I was in San Francisco for a Technology Conference and the hotel was a bit out of the way of all the hustle and bustle of downtown San Francisco. If that is to your liking, you will enjoy Hotel Kabuki. It is quiet and very comfortable. Very safe neighborhood and the staff was very accommodating. I highly recommend Hotel Kabuki.

Solid comfort even though building feels old

The lobby, elevator and hallways feel old - this is an old apartment like building, but the bed is super comfortable and the room is nice enough. Bathroom is a little weird and cold, but I think it was a nice stay overall. Restaurant is dead, but the location is central enough to get around. I would return

Great experience.

From the moment I got there the staff was very kind and helpful. They had overbooked the room I reserved, so I was upgraded to a room that even had a sauna in it. The location is excellent. Japan town is such a peaceful part of town with amazing food! Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet, friendly hotel in Japan district

The staff were friendly at all times and responded quickly to all questions. Room was clean and I love the bath shower arrangement. It seems a bit off the beaten track, but it is surprisingly close to downtown and great for going west and not having to fight with downtown traffic.
