Industrial chic and unique hotel off Union Square
Hotel Diva is a unique, ultramodern hotel designed by local architect Olle Lundberg, who specializes in metalwork. Like something from a futuristic or science fiction film, Hotel Diva makes a dramatic style statement, featuring Lundberg's trademark sculptured metal headboards and bold color schemes of slate gray and silver with a striking blue carpet, symbolizing a 1930s ocean liner, running throughout. In contrast to the industrial chic, which won Hotel Diva a Best Hotel Design award from Interiors magazine, the service is warm and attentive.

Not very comfortable
The room was nicely decorated but it was pretty small. It also smelled like some strong cleaning chemicals. The smoke detector was detached (probably from the previous smoker guests that stayed in the rooms). Maybe that's why they had to use super strong smelling cleaning chemicals on the room. I was able to hear a lot of traffic noise from our room. The bedding was average. It definitely not the most comfortable place to spend the night. Some positives include the location of the hotel and the staff who were very nice and friendly.

Diva Business Traveler
Good hotel for Divas and others...
I like the Diva Hotel, and not just for the name! I have stayed here many times in the past, and it is a great hotel with a fun atmosphere.

Overall Great Experience
Overall it was a great experience, the only bad thing was the 'surprise' we got when checking. They claimed that we only have 1 room while we really have booked 2. [...] they were good enough to give us the other room that we have paid for. The hotel is unlike the 5 stars, it is a small but comfy hotel around downtown and everything is within walking distance. I'd like to stay there again.

The Diva is Divine!
Comfortable, stylish, hotel in the heart of the business district. The location was centrally located to public transportation. For restaurants, check out the Cliff House, Barabacco, and the Chinese Pearl.

Good hotel
This hotel was a very nice, high-end hotel. Service was great and the location was ok - central to Union Square but at the same time, right around the corner from some not-so-safe areas. Rooms were nice, they upgraded us to a larger room for having to wait in line to check-in, what was great, but we heard that the other rooms were fairly small.

Hotel diva
The hotel was at a great location but the room was small and noisy compare to the other hotels I've stayed at in union square. The staff was friendly, however, everytime I get in the elevator it was tiny, old, and felt like it was going to break. For what I've paid for I expected more from the hotel.

felt very comfortable!
Staff was extremely helpful, especially [...]! He really seemed to care about my needs, and wanted to make sure my stay at the Diva was memorable. Location was perfect for what I needed to accomplish in San Francisco. My room was smaller than what I would have liked, but very comfortable. Loved the window shade!!
