Industrial chic and unique hotel off Union Square
Hotel Diva is a unique, ultramodern hotel designed by local architect Olle Lundberg, who specializes in metalwork. Like something from a futuristic or science fiction film, Hotel Diva makes a dramatic style statement, featuring Lundberg's trademark sculptured metal headboards and bold color schemes of slate gray and silver with a striking blue carpet, symbolizing a 1930s ocean liner, running throughout. In contrast to the industrial chic, which won Hotel Diva a Best Hotel Design award from Interiors magazine, the service is warm and attentive.

The BEST.
The hotel DIVA is the best. It was my first time at the hotel Diva and I could not be more happy with my room. The staff were happy to help with anything that they could. I hope to go back to San Francisco and when I do I will I'll be at the Diva.

Clean, good location, good staff

Not bad
Worn out chic. Clean, excellent location, helpful staff. Mismatch between hip furniture, etc. and tired walls, doors, elevator doors, etc. Please get rid of the neon light in the elevators. I'd go again.

excellent location and service for the value.
Helpful and very accomodating staff. Rooms are clean and the beddings were very comfortable. Bathrooms were a bit small and the sink was not in the bathroom. But it didn't really matter, it was clean and the shower was nice and hot. Excellent location in downtown and extremely convenient. Parking on O'farrell and Ellis for the rental car was good. Great japanese sushi and noodle shop next door and opened till 1:30 a.m. Starbuck's right downstairs for your morning buzz.

Just remember, you have to walk back to the hotel with what you buy. And it is not easy not to buy too much.

Great Hotel, excelent location
The hotel is very nice, comfortable and chic. The location is excelent, you are just 3 blocks away to Union Square, and lot of stores and boutiques, all is walking distance. Also you have near some art galleries, and many restaurants, with different type of food. Also all the gorud transporation is walking distance, you can get on a cable car, a bus, the bart, everything is very near.

Fast Vacation in San Francisco
We were very happy with Hotel Diva. It is in a great location to the city. We would definitely stay again. It is easy to get a round once you figure out the transit system and the location of the places you wish to go.

Great service
I did not expect much from this hotel because the price was so reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised, primarily by the excellent service. The staff at the front desk could not have been nicer or more willing to please. They happily changed our room to a larger size after we asked and provided a cot when an extra kid showed up unexpectedly after we made our reservation. They then went out of their way to make helpful suggestions the next several days. The maid service was timely and high quality. The location can't be beat: just about 1-1/2 blocks from Union Square, which is as close as you would want, but far enough to avoid some of the Powell Street hoopla. (Ask for a room in the back so you do not overlook Geary Street.) Admittedly, the hotel is kind of funky in its pursuit of hipness and the rooms are pretty small, but hey, this is downtown San Francisco. The hotel had a small business center and gym, which would not knock anyone's socks off, but were adequate for the leisure traveler. The bathrooms had just been renovated and the rooms supposedly will be next. On constructrive suggestion would be to improve the TV service; the selections were limited with not premium channels and no pay per view movies. All in all, however, I viewed our stay to be a terrific bargain, and particularly so if you plan to spend a lot of time out of the room.
