regular ol' hotel

Nothing special. Had what you'd expect. Wifi was just a little bit flaky, but complimentary. Staff was sometimes curt, and refused to be flexible about an accidental $15 movie charge. No breakfast. I doubt my wife will go back.

Nice NYE Vacation--Lousy Concierge

We came in for NYE weekend, and were very happy with the front desk, room, liked the parking being onsite. Beds very comfy and got a great night's sleep each night. One thumbs down aspect that I have to mention--the "concierge" in the gift shop...although very eager to help, had NO IDEA about nightlife for NYE. C'mon, folks, if you are going to be SOLD OUT for NYE, dontcha think you should have concierge services that are prepared? Spent WAYYYY too long over 2 days with them browsing Google with slow internet for ideas. One gal had lived in SF all her life and had never ever gone to a club, had to call her boss on her cellphone to ask what to look up on the internet. Gave us the wrong address to first club and we ended up in the bad part of town. Like I said, LOUSY concierge. What a joke. In the end, we did our own research and found our own way. Hotel room good overall.

Holiday Inn - SF Van Ness/101

Good location just next to the California line, so v easy access to China Town & financial district. Room was a decent size & clean etc. Been to SF lots of times and stayed in most of the perceived better hotels and this one stood up well against the ore expensive ones

Great Location

Good location and good price. Ask to be placed somewhere other than near the elevators. Beds are too soft but otherwise ok. Avoid breakfast buffet go to "Toast" one block away. Parking $38 plus tax - if you don't need in and out access you can park for $20 less than one block away. Outdoor pool is heated.

Very nice staff

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Aida,in the gift shop, went out of her way to be helpful, offering advice on sites, food, and travel that made our trip very enjoyable.

weekend getaway

If you are traveling as a tourist, then you probably won't stay in the hotel too much. Thus,as tourists the only time we were present in our room was in the morning(shower, get ready) and at night (take shower, internet, bed). Nice, clean room. Overall, average hotel for short-time visitors.
