that will be extra

Hotel was expensive and didn't include anything beyond a room; spa, shuttle, internet -- everything was extra. There was always a bellman to keep the homeless folks out of the entry area. Next time I would stay at an express where I could at least catch a continental breakfast before heading to the conference without dropping another $20 at Sarbucks. If you aren't on a budget it's a nice place to stay, but if you are you should look at some other places.

Perfect walking distance from shopping.

Nicely within walking distance to shopping and landmarks. Lots of places in the hotel to purchase bottled water. (A problem I have had in some other hotels.) The always bustling lobby gives the hotel a nice energy. One negative was the bathroom being so tiny with the toilet right in front of the counter and a foot away from the sink. I barely had room to put things. I kept thinking I was going to drop items in the toilet.

Don't bother standing in the enormous Starbuck's line in the hotel lobby. There's one on nearly every corner.

Hilton -San Francisco

The was no fitness center. The were no restaurants in the vicinity that were quick and easy for a family. All were sit down and rather expensive. The hotel was close to shopping and sightseeing businesses which was nice. We asked for queen beds and they were more like doubles. Had to ask for phone books and other necessities.

Good and Bad

This is my first time to San Francisco. Hilton is a nice hotel but the room we got was too small. The bathroom was really small just enough for two people. I would have prefer a bigger room. In the morning, we could hear people chattering outside the hallways. But the housekeeping was excellent. Our room was always kept clean with Crab Tree amendities.
