First time in San Francisco, toured city with good advice and information from hotel staff. Hotel convienent to many local sights, stores and restaurants. Hotel restaurant prices were high, Starbucks very high compared to one a block away

Dining

San Fran Hilton

Would recommend Mon, Jul 20, 2009
I previously lived in San Fran about 5 years ago and wanted to return to visit friends and show my boyfriend around the city. We chose to stay at the Hilton because we got a great price with our flight and the location is perfect. You can walk right outside to tons of stores and restaurants and there is always a cab waiting. The public transportation is great and easy to access from this location as well. Union square is right outside and you can walk to china town too. The hotel provided a cab service back to the airport. I really have no complaints about my experience. Good deal. I didn't like the front desk lady that checked me in but I liked averything else.

a nice hotel for conventions and busines

Would recommend Sun, Jul 19, 2009
I went there for a convention/conference, and it seems to be a prime location for that - unfortunately that means the hotel is bustling. San Francisco is not exactly child-friendly, but the hotel did the best they could to accomodate my little ones, and the hotel staff was unflaggingly helpful and friendly. For the price, however, I expected free internet, but you have to buy a 15$ a day card, you are better off walking to the Starbucks around the corner. Also, don't even think of popping the minibar! At 10$ each, that is possibly the most expensive water ever.

Dining

Try dining at the Foley's Irish Pub - although there are many, many good restaurants within sight, this one is original and the food is excellent when you want a substantial break from the upscale food around. Still upscale-ish but it will definitely stick to your ribs

San Francisco, CA - Hilton

Would not recommend Wed, Jul 15, 2009
I truly appreciated that they would let us check in early but when I opened the minibar in our room there was an old half eaten sandwich in there, plus the hotel first charged us for the drinks missing in the minibar. After I talked to them they reversed the charges. The fan in the bathroom did not work and when taking a shower I could see all the dust/dirt inside the vent. Overall the hotel was good

Attractions

We enjoyed the Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour, located on Powell Street and Union Square. It is inexpensive and you can see/experience all the major attractions. They provide a tour guide as well. The buses return to the drop off location every 30min and it beats the cable car that are too expensive and crowded.

Unbeatable location for the price

My trip to San Francisco was fabulous! I have no complaints with reference to the hotel nor its staff. I will definitely stay at the Hilton again and recommmend it to family and friends for staying not eating.

Hilton San Francisco

The hotel was great, although I think the $45.00 a day parking fee is a little steep. The pool was nice and the staff was very pleasant.

Attractions

You can get the Hyde-Powell trolley a block away and go to Fisherman's Wharf. We rented bicycles and rode across the GGB and back in two hours. It was an easy ride.

Hilton on O'farrel

Would recommend Mon, Jul 13, 2009
Overall it was a wonderful experience. Great housekeeping staff! I was greeted every morning with a "good morning". very friendly. I disliked that it was confusing to get to my room from the elevator. the room was very distant from both elevators on the floor and all I could see were very long hallways. I didn't like the bathroom door. I kept hitting my elbow on the door knob :(

Dining

GO TO BISTRO 69 ON MADELINE AND GRANT.(IT's IN THE ALLEY) IT WAS THE BEST TASTNG AND WELL SERVED MEAL I HAD ALL WEEKEDN IN SAN FRANCISCO. GREAT PRICE TOO!
