Great location for exploring the city

The location was ideal for the opportunity to walk to all locations. The ease with the check in. The cleaning of the rooms. The absolute ease with checkout. Well informed of events that might effect stay. EG. Possible BART strike. The hotel kept us informed.

I was just here on business and it was overall pretty good. The restaurant is way over priced though.

Great hotel

The Hilton is huge but not overwhelming. If you can get the upgrade to a Tower City View, do it. The view from the balconies is amazing. The room was lovely with a luxurious bed. My only complaint was that the Tenderloin district (which is a very poor area) is about a block away.

Check out Nob Hill Cafe on Taylor street. Romantic with great food and friendly waitstaff. Careful on those steep hills, though!

O'Farrell Street Hilton

The prices for hotel food was very high even for Hiltons. I found the shuttle service--Super Shuttle complaining that Orbitz had not given me a reference they could use and they might not be paid!!!

Great location for a great trip!!!

Perfect location, right in the middle between Japantown and Chinatown. Great, friendly staff that helped out when needed! Very close to Powell/Mason cable car pickup! Within walking distance to pretty much everywhere, Fisherman's Warff, Japantown, Chinatown, Pier39, etc! Definately worth the price, parking is a bit much, but you don't really need to drive anywhere, so i suggest leaving your car there!

Shopping tip: Not Applicable

There are tons of different eateries and shopping places to go to! We decided to hop on to one of the cable cars and take a journey around from shop town to shop town. Lots of great things to get in Chinatown and Japantown! The mall off of Market is HUGE!!! It's about 7 stories high, but lots of high end retailers in there too, so if you are looking for bargains, stay away from the mall.

Great Location, Great Locale

Great experience - including the location, the amenities and all. The only issue was the parking price - outrageous.

Good Stay

It was perfect for our trip. There were about 15 of us and we are all 24-27 years old. We wanted to be in a popular part of town that allowed us to walk to most places. The rooms are small but I believe all hotels in Union Square have small rooms. I would definitely recommend.

Family Vacation

overall the experience was decent however I was extremely discouraged by the fact that for a 2 day stay I had to pay well over $180.00 for parking in the garage structure at the Hilton. There was no parking validation for hotel guests. Disappointing!!
