GREAT PRICE & LOCATION

THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTION IS GREAT, ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT. HOP ON HOP OFF BUS PICKS UP OUTSIDE HOTELS SIDE ENTRANCE, WHICH WAS VERY CONVENIENT. HOTEL IS CLOSE TO UNION SQUARE - A COUPLE OF BLOCKS. HOTEL IS CLOSE TO THE BART, IF COMING IN FROM THE AIRPORT, IT IS INEXPENSIVE, PRICES INCREASED, BUT $8.10 TO THE POWELL STATION IS PRETTY GOOD. HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN THROUGHOUT, OUR HOUSEKEEPER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! THE HOTEL ROOM WAS REPORTED TO BE SMALL, IT'S THE SAME SIZE AS MOST HOTELS. POOL AREA WAS VERY PRIVATE & CLEAN. THE BEDS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN ON MY NEXT VISIT TO SAN FRANCISCO.

Great hotel near transportation

This Hilton is close to the BART station from the airport and close to the cable cars to Fishermen's Wharf and within walking distance to the Ferry Terminal with a great farmer's market. The market is open on Tues and Sat but has a great marketplace open every day. We also went to the SF Museum of Modern Art. The hotel was an incredible value. We alse used the friendly concierge desk in the lobby.

Not worth it!!

I am not sure if it was Hilton or Orbitz that mislead us to believe there was continental breakfast and free parking..... We are not very happy at all!!!! It costed 50.00 for parking which was unexpected. If we had known that ahead of time, we would have not stayed there. And for the price, coffee and food would have been nice. Other places provide it why can't they? We will not pay 7.00 for a pot of coffee in our room. Way uncool!!!!VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH ORBITZ!!

Great Location

Great location - the walk from Powell Street Bart to the hotel was easy and quick walk to China Town. Concierge was helpful and accomodating - helped w/bus lines and theatre tickets. Was surprisingly quiet, comfortable beds and nice water pressure.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Close to shopping and China Town and right on the bus line/trolley line to other sightseeing destinations; they also help w/rental cars -there are at least 5 rental agencies outside the front doors of the hotel.

Nice long weekend trip

The staff is very friendly. We felt very welcome from the moment we checked-in. The room was clean. It wasn't very large, but comfortable enough for two adults and a toddler. Our room was right by the elevator, so there was a lot of traffic, but it wasn't as noisy as I had expected it to be. Hotel is in a great location-- within walking distance to shops and restaurants, but not too close to busy Market Street.

So affordable rude people ruin it!

Too many rude guests. Too much noise, too many drunks, both young kids and middle-agers who don't seem to care about civility. Won't stay there again.

Good hotel, very good price

Hotel check in was great and they brought a pack & play for our daughter. Very clean rooms and convenient location. Parking was very expensive ($50 per day), and the location, while convenient to attractions, was semi-dodgy with homeless folks and few halfway houses on Ellis (the street behind the hotel). We never felt unsafe or anything, but the area around union square isn't the cleanest area of the city is all (we travel to SF frequently and know it reasonably well).

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

If you can make it up to Union Street the window shopping there is great. It's not near the hotel, but worth the cable-car ride over to that district.

Great hotel for a girls weekend!!!

Despite the long check in when we arrived at 11pm and the fact that there is no fitness center unless you pay 15 dollars per person we had a great time. My girlfriends and I were there for my wedding shower/party weekend and to go to the Oustsidelands Music Festival. The location was within walking distance to public transit, shopping, great restaurants, and nightlife. It was a good spot for our visit.
