Family Vacation

overall the experience was decent however I was extremely discouraged by the fact that for a 2 day stay I had to pay well over $180.00 for parking in the garage structure at the Hilton. There was no parking validation for hotel guests. Disappointing!!

Overall okay

While I was there I was attending a conference, which was hosted at the hotel. It was nice to be near the conference, but the rooms and the hotel itself were a bit run down. The hotel bar was great though and so were the drinks. I wouldn't really look to stay here again, but I wouldn't be angry if I had to.

the excitement of Bagdad By The Bay

The hotel was fine. I am very upset with Cheap Tickets because you failed to deliver the free overnight parking and the the free breakfast as promised on your July 11, 2009 website when I booked this stay online. Calls to your customer service representative and her supervisor were fruitless. THE SAME SPECIAL OFFER IS LISTED IN YOUR CURRENT WEBSITE FOR THE SAME HOTEL ON AUGUST 24, 2009! Unless your correct this gross failure to perform, I will cease doing business with Cheap Tickets and book our November vacation to Vienna with another, more reliable and honest company.

Lived up to expectations

First time in San Francisco, toured city with good advice and information from hotel staff. Hotel convienent to many local sights, stores and restaurants. Hotel restaurant prices were high, Starbucks very high compared to one a block away

San Fran Hilton

I previously lived in San Fran about 5 years ago and wanted to return to visit friends and show my boyfriend around the city. We chose to stay at the Hilton because we got a great price with our flight and the location is perfect. You can walk right outside to tons of stores and restaurants and there is always a cab waiting. The public transportation is great and easy to access from this location as well. Union square is right outside and you can walk to china town too. The hotel provided a cab service back to the airport. I really have no complaints about my experience. Good deal. I didn't like the front desk lady that checked me in but I liked averything else.

a nice hotel for conventions and busines

I went there for a convention/conference, and it seems to be a prime location for that - unfortunately that means the hotel is bustling. San Francisco is not exactly child-friendly, but the hotel did the best they could to accomodate my little ones, and the hotel staff was unflaggingly helpful and friendly. For the price, however, I expected free internet, but you have to buy a 15$ a day card, you are better off walking to the Starbucks around the corner. Also, don't even think of popping the minibar! At 10$ each, that is possibly the most expensive water ever.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Try dining at the Foley's Irish Pub - although there are many, many good restaurants within sight, this one is original and the food is excellent when you want a substantial break from the upscale food around. Still upscale-ish but it will definitely stick to your ribs

San Francisco, CA - Hilton

I truly appreciated that they would let us check in early but when I opened the minibar in our room there was an old half eaten sandwich in there, plus the hotel first charged us for the drinks missing in the minibar. After I talked to them they reversed the charges. The fan in the bathroom did not work and when taking a shower I could see all the dust/dirt inside the vent. Overall the hotel was good

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

We enjoyed the Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour, located on Powell Street and Union Square. It is inexpensive and you can see/experience all the major attractions. They provide a tour guide as well. The buses return to the drop off location every 30min and it beats the cable car that are too expensive and crowded.
