good for one night stay

Basically chose this place due to its proximity to north beach and price. It's within walking distance to the north beach bars. Only bad part was hat it was right in the middle of china town and we were here during Chinese New Years. So drums and parades woke us up at 8am even though we were on the 16th floor.

Probably Best Place to Stay Close to Chinatown

This is an older Hilton, partially renovated. Next door there is a major construction site - so lots of noise during the day. Overall not bad, but the maintenance of the rooms could use some work - many small items weren't quite up to the normal Hilton high level.

small rooms

Good over all. Even though I was in a non-smoking room I could smell cigarette smoke coming in from the room next door. I was on the 9th floor room 920. I assume this was a non-smoking floor. I found the rooms to be a little bit small. The room could use a small refrigerator and microwave.

Winter Getaway

The bay view room had an awesome view. Many others stated it was a noisy area to stay. You can definitely hear construction, chinatown music (which was actually nice) and people outside from the 12th floor, but I don't think it was as bad as people made it sound. If you're really worried, they provide ear plugs. I slept really well! The hotel is close to everything in the city.
