A really Good find
The Good Hotel is named for its philosophy of 'being good': to the community, the environment and each other. Kind of a groovy San Francisco vibe. I was a bit skeptical, but I thought I'd give it a try. The hotel was recently renovated before my stay and it showed: new furniture, fresh look, spotless carpet. The room I stayed in was on the ground floor in the corner of the courtyard. Not usually my first choice, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it spacious and quieter than I expected. The staff was very friendly, the location convenient and the room quite comfortable. My only caveat is that the hotel is at the edge of a neighborhood that gets quite 'festive' on weekends. Great if you're going to the Mission area for the night life; not so much if you're looking for a quiet getaway. Overall I thought it was a great value for the money and would likely stay there again.

If you want to sample the heart of San Franciso, a short walk to Market Street will reveal an urban character that is unique to the city: street performers, outdoor chess, trolly cars, great shopping and some of the finest dining in the world. Don't forget your camera!

Great value!!!
The hotel was wonderful! The staff was helpful and friendly. I must have called the from desk a dozen times requesting amenities and they were not only willing to help, but always double checked to make sure that I was satisfied. The rooms were extremely clean, although they did just remodel. The room was small but tidy. The housekeeping was phenomenal! They vaccuumed everyday and everything was wiped down everyday. The beds are more comfortable than most and the pillows are wonderful feather pillows! The walls are kind of thin though. You can hear pretty clearly when people are walking through the halls but from room to room the privacy is pretty well maintained. The location was great! Two blocks over and you hit Market Street, Union Square and everything! Although you do have to walk through a block or two of less than pleasant conditions(lots of homeless). Overall, the location is awesome. Also, they have a pizza plave attached to the lobby. I didn't get a chance to eat there but they deliver up to your room for free. The prices seem pretty resonable. Oh and there's a 24 Hour Carl's Jr. a block down so if you are out late and hungry, it's a convenient way to get food late at night. So the best part of this hotel is that there is A FREE photobooth in the lobby! It's awesome! You can use it as many times as you want! The parking is very limited at the actual hotel so I had to park my car across the street at their sister hotel but they had valet with unlimited ins and outs. And it is a parking garage so you know your car will be safe. The hotel in general is really a great value and just a great atmopshere. Everything is basically eco-friendly. From the bed spread to the light fixtures, to the towels. I am so glad that I have found a hotel that I like in San Francisco. I have stayed in many hotels in the city but I can say that Good Hotel is definately the best hotel for the price!

good location, good value
First time at Hotel Britton, location 1 1/2 block from Bart and transportation. I stayed in the motel part of complex and it was very quiet. A very cleam simple room with concern for the environment. Requested guests not to run heat/air conditioning unnecessarily. Flat screen TV, bathroom had 'adult height' marble vanity.

Absolutely, the BEST value for the money!
I am very particular about cleanliness and aesthetics, and was pleasantly surprised with our accommodations and overall experience. The entire building is very bright and inviting and the staff was most helpful and wonderful the minute we walked in the door. I was traveling with a friend and we were pleased to find a spacious room, large enough for both of us and our belongings. The rooms are decorated super fun, very eco-contemporary, and as mentioned before... very clean! It still felt like we were the first ones to use the room. The room was equipped with a large flat screen TV, blow-dryer, alarm clock/radio, security safe, free wireless internet, extra blankets, heating unit, and this awesome little hot pot for boiling water for tea/coffee/etc. I generally have trouble sleeping, but the beds were so comfortable and cozy that I had no trouble getting some shut-eye. The pizza restaurant was a convenient perk, but are not open late hours. The location is very close to museums, clubs, bars and transportation lines. The only down-side was that you had to pass through some riff-raff around 7th and Market. But definitely not a deal-breaker. In a nutshell, The Good Hotel is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at for such a low price. I would definitely recommend it.

Great Price. Near the F-line.
This hotel is on the corner of 7th and Mission. My hotel room was on the third floor and on that corner. I was amazed at how quiet the room got at night. The shutters kept the light out very well. The decor of the hotel might be best enjoyed by people aged 20-30, but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy it if you are outside that range!

The Good Hotel is GREAT!
My experience at the Good Hotel was GREAT! Great staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable about tourist and non-tourist attractions. Very good-looking hotel that is nicely "IKEA" furnished. Bed was very comfortable. Very short walk to all the Muni stops which take you everywhere in San Francisco so review the Muni transportation system and safe $$$$ instead of taking taxis and driving a car.

Use and take San Francisco's Muni Public Transportation system. Very easy and affordable to take you everywhere you want to go in San Francisco. Stations are clean and safe.
