nice location and thoughtful amenities

The amenities of room are quite comprehensive, for example, you can access internet by wireless/wire, and there are a variety of beverages and cookies in your frig. In addition, the hotle has lundry service. By the way , the location of hotel is in the financial district, it's quite convenient for you to get to tourist spots-such as chiantown, museum of modern art, city hall,or fishmsn's warf-just by your feet. Needless to say, shopping areas are just around you.

GREAT week in San Francisco

The only thing missing was a larger restaurant in the hotel. Location was perfect. Easy access from the airport via BART (lowest cost). Easy access to Trolleys and Cable Cars. No need for a rental car. We took a City Tour, visited China Town, Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39), Alcatraz, Wine County, Yosemite National Park, and the Aquarium. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were especially knowledgeable in where to go and helpful in making reservations.

Very good value for a downtown hotel

The location and price were primordial for us and I must say that everything was perfect from this point of view. We were literally 3 minutes walking from Union Square ! The hotel itself is pretty good, we enjoyed the decoration, the cleanliness and the friendly staff. But the free wi-fi was very slow (you have to pay for a better connection), and we would have loved a breakfast (only coffee and tea). But overall it was a perfect place for us and we would have loved to stay more !

Love this hotel!

My friends and I stayed here for a few days at the end of December for New Years and we couldn't have been happier. The rooms are beautifully decorated. They are small (like every hotel room in SF) but they make the most use of the space. We didn't feel cramped at all. The staff was very friendly, and the best part was the location. The hotel is within walking distance of Chinatown and Union Center, and just a short cab or cable car ride to the piers.

Friendly hotel-super location-good value

We've stayed at several of the smaller hotels in the Union Square area and this was our favorite. Our room was small but very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only a couple minutes walk to the BART and shopping. Complimentary wine in the evenings and coffe in am. Good quick breakfast place next door and excellent bagel store 1/2 block away. We took a short walk down Market Street to the Ferry Building and caught the F line trolley/streetcar to Fisherman's Wharf for $2 (all day ticket). Lots of great food places to eat at the Ferry Building as well as artisan food shops, i.e. bread, cheese, chocolates, mushrooms, etc. We were surprised to find a definite decline in the number of stores at the Cannery and Ghiradelli Square, but we still enjoyed the walk from Pier 39 to the square and easily caught the F line trolley back to Market Street. Enjoyed the shrimp and chips at Tarantino's at an outside table. We love San Francisco and will definitely stay at Galleria Park Hotel on our next visit.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Short walk to the Ferry Building was enjoyable and an easy place to pick up the F line trolley which then goes to the Fisherman Wharf area. Only $2 for adults and $.75 for seniors for an all day ticket.
