Cosy, stylish little hotel

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Executive Hotel Vintage Court. It has a nice intimate feel to it and the staff go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable at all times. If you ask for something to be brought up to the room (there is no phone in the room so one has to ask at reception), it will arrive within minutes. The decor is tasteful and feels very European. The room is clean and perfectly adequate. It has a mini-bar/fridge, hair dryer, good sized Queen bed, separate sink unit and excellent, powerful shower unit. This hotel constitutes value for money which ever way you look at it and its location, within a short walk of Union Square and Chinatown, is perfect.

Wonderful experience

We checked into the hotel and were given a room on the 7th floor, after looking at the room we did not like the full size bed and asked to be moved to another room, no problem, we were moved to one with a king bed. I cannot express how wonderful the manger, and staff at Vintage Court are. Breakfast every morning, free wine every evening, you just can't ask for more. One block from Powell St. where the cable cars run is very nice (you don't need a car). The only downfall is you have to have reservations to there restaurant which can be hard to pin down sometimes. But there are lots of good places to eat within walking distance. My wife and I loved this hotel and would stay again if we ever go back to SF.

Great value and location

Executive Hotel Vintage Court is a great hotel because you get the benefit of being centrally located (1 block above Union Square), but you are not quite in the middle of the tourist crush that other Union Square hotels bring. Beware that the rooms are small, so I would recommend upgrading to a King room (it's only a little extra money and worth it). If your room is super tiny, ask for another because there are rooms with more space! The complimentary evening wine tastings from local vineyards are a great touch!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a fabulous thai restaurant called King of Thai Noodle House on Powell St below Union Square. The food is fabulous, fresh, and vegan friendly (if you so choose). It's also open super late which is so convenient!

Great value and location in San Francisco

The best amenities of the Executive Hotel Vintage Court are its friendly, very helpful staff and the location. The rooms were nice enough (odd mismatching decor aside) and the breakfast and wine tastings a big plus. My friend had to change rooms-her first one was right over the alley with a glass recycle bin below her window and she couldn't sleep. But they switched her to an inner room and there was no problem. I would recommend this hotel and would/will stay there again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Recommend Sears Food, Luque's restaurant in the Chancellor Hotel, and City Grill on Geary (the skirt steak is delicious!)-all less than 5 minutes from the hotel's front door. Also-let the consierge call you a town car to SFO if you have more than one person-it's the same price as a taxi but felt like a luxury!!

Great stay and location

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. We jumped on and off the cable car a half block from the hotel. Loved the wine happy hour, especially the conversations with other guest. We'll go back again.

Unbeatable for the price

Great central location in close proximity to many attractions and highways south and north to Napa / Sonoma. Good continental breakfast and great wine tastings every night.
